coasterdave Posted April 14, 2007 Share Posted April 14, 2007 I was lucky enough to attend Mystery Mines Media Day at Dollywood. The ride has been under a soft opening since the park opened for the season. Today was the first day that every thing in and outside the mine was turned on. So you folks that rode it before today and thought there was places in the ride that was dark, then now you can ride it with the full effect of it. That is if you do not mind the traffic and lines. I am not really going to go into alot of detail about the ride and stuff for I have a review to finish up for Coasterfanatics.com. I am sure you will see afew more PTR in the coming days. Enough blabbing and on to the pics I say! What is an update without the food they served to the Media. Dooly and rest of cast of Rhythem of the Dance. Dolly joins the singers in Rhythm of the Dance Always great to know if you need some moved.....I guess. Enjoying some hang time Overview of back area from Q. Dolly set to let the media ride the Mystery Mine. This is where your Mine Train falls out of the station and you are on your way. Dolly was there to kick Media Day off as well as answer Questions. I was one of the EBAY winners, it was pretty cool to meet Dolly and get a hug. I also have a bunch of photos up on mysite and am working on my TR and other photos. Hopefully get that up by tomorrow. Takes forever for me to write stuff. Plus I have to make a trip over to Cypress Gardens for more Starliner photos this weekend. Did you shoot any other photos of Dolly while in the station area. I wish I could have snapped one of her but we didnt have time or access because of the way that the photos were done. More later. All though the real signed photo is not in the frame as it is on the way in the mail, Dolly didnt have time to sign. I missed most of the official stuff becuase of waiting in line to ride. I was going to go as you guys part of the media and you probably would have seen me. I would have liked to been there as part of the media but because I did the auction instead, thats just the way things worked out.
