its over with too quick in my opinion. Alot of people are calling it an arrow roller coaster? What do you guys mean by that?

That means it was built/designed/whatever by a company called Arrow. Other notable rides of theirs include Pepsi Max Big One, Viper, Great American Scream Machine (SFGAD), Loch Ness Monster, and X. Their coasters are easily recognized by the familar wheels-in-a-box track.

Wow, I'm a dork.

After giving it quite a bit of thought, I think I have figured out one of the things that makes me dislike Dollywood a bit. In most parks...dare I say every other park I've been to, there always seem to be a bunch of rides that you can ride without waiting very long. Like at SFoG, you can always manage to ride the Sky Buckets, the Enterprise, the Rockin Tug and some others without having to wait forever. Most parks have quite a few rides that are the go-to rides when the park is busy. This at least makes it feel like you're getting your money's worth when you're in the park. You're riding stuff...even if it's not the E-tickets, you're at least riding.

Dollywood has been the complete opposite experience both times I've been there. The only rides I saw that didn't have half hour waits (that were adult rides) were the Carousel and the train. The chairswings, the Scrambler, the Disk-o, the bumper cars...all enormous waits! Mom even waited 45 minutes for the show we went to see! So when the park is like that, all you're doing is waiting in line. It would have been great if we could have just taken a while and jumped from small ride to small ride instead of spending such huge chunks of time in the lines.

I know, I know..."But Julie, it's a theme park. There are gonna be lines." I've just really never been to a park with so few rides that you can just walk up to and not wait too long to ride. I think the fact that so many of the flats are all crammed into Country Fair doesn't help matters either.

So I think that is some of it. I'm sure that if I visited on a slow day, I'd enjoy myself much more.

you really, really need to go during a weekday.usually everything is a walk on-10 minute wait max.if you go to the main back of the park at opening and slowly work your way to the front you can usually avoided almost all the crowd.

You know, Julie, I think you go to Dollywood just to pose by that pickle.

Seriously, great PTR! I guess roof climbing is a new ride!

Hey, you like to stay in cheap hotels? A woman after my own heart. I try to find cheap hotels too, since I only use it to sleep and shower. I don't spend a whole lot of time in the room anyway. The cheaper I can get, the better! My friend calls me "The Cheap Hotel King!" I can smell a cheap hotel a mile away! But then again, Julie's heart belongs to Kevin. *sniff sniff*
