dubaidave
So I am currently in Krabi, a lovely sea side town. I have been to Pattaya and taken 300 photos and POV of the coastyer at Funny land. highlights so far have been being able to climb all over the track of the mini STE clone that has never run, and a certain show in Bangkok. I am heading back to bangkok on Wednesday for a few days on my own so will hit up all the parks and post them here. The other thing is Ripleys, Pattaya was amazing. We got shown round by the manager and iot is trully a world class attraction. Stay tuned for a lot more. Just thought I would add a few teaser pics until I get them all ready. Gutterflower
i await the pics eagerly Keep an eye out for construction at Siam Park as they bought the SLC and Boomerang from Jerudong Park. And hopefully you'll be able to back me up on the fact that Zoom at YoYo Land truely is that bad
dubaidave
^ You are correct. Zoom was a complete waste of time. I did get POV Though. Siam park was mad. It was thursday and the shutle loop was closed. But.... The SLC is up and looks great. No Cars there yet though. the boomerang is in the car park and is getting a lick of paint. They also have a drop tower in the car park and another ride I cant remember the name of. Overall its a great park, but there is so much construction going on there its crazy. Have taken lods of pics and will upload them as soon as I get home.
Gutterflower
Was the yo yo land coaster SBNO still? looks like a nice little ride. Cant wait for the pics
dubaidave
The Yo Yo Land was working, thats the boring one. The other park, cant remember the name right now, was still SBNO but the water park was still open, Also went to another rooftop park somewhere out of tow. No coaster but a suspended monorail. Also went to Dreamworld and got POV of the hanging coaster and POV of the Haunted mansion, because someone was asking for it. Still not back in Dubai, due to a huge cock up with the airline, so will get the pick up ASAP. There are literelly hundreds of them. lol

Mind Eraser
The SLC is up and looks great. No Cars there yet though. the boomerang is in the car park and is getting a lick of paint. They also have a drop tower in the car park and another ride I cant remember the name of. Overall its a great park, but there is so much construction going on there its crazy. I suspect the drop tower came from Jerudong also. Jerudong Playground had a 174 ft. Intamin Giant Drop. Does anyone know why Jerudong got rid of its rides? It can't be money issues--the Sultan of Brunei, who owns the park, is one of the richest men in the world (so rich that everything at Jerudong was free, including admission). Pusing Lagi, the SLC, always fascinated me. It has the same inversions as a standard SLC, in the same order, but the layout is still different. There is one clone of Pusing Lagi in the World at Suzhou in China.
dubaidave
All the rides looked to be in good condition as well. However I would Say Siam PArk is not a hugely rich park so they must have got them fairly cheap. Although Wonder World is almost open and is very close to Siam PArk, a bit closer to the main road though, so maybe they are feeling the competition a bit. Full trip report coming very soon. coastakid
Has anyone realized that the SLC is a modified one? The layout is somewhat different than a standard SLC. Nice pictures any how...
Gutterflower
yes its one of 2 in the world that uses this layout. as mentioned above the other one is at SAL in China. The inversions are the same but the layout is different
