MayTheGForceBeWithYou
Woohoo, love rides with a darker theme. I'll be sure to follow the updates for this!
matteocrepaldi
I really liked the old theme for the lof flume! The idea of the devil turning the boats around was pretty cool!
Locostitch
So does this mean that they are getting two coasters, and if not what happens to the one they originally ordered.
simon8899
^I guess the manufacturer had not started the construction of the coaster intended for Holiday Park and sold them the finished product at a bargain - plus maybe charging contract penalties from the Chinese park.  ^^As they opened their log flume in 1992 Mack also delivered the same year a log-flume to showmen Löwenthal also featuring two turntables and a backwards drop. It is still the biggest portable logflume. Wildwasser 3 - ride-index.de
RCT3Bross
Good news I must say. So Super Wirbel didn't get sold but good to hear the first inverting coaster of Germany (according to RCDB) won't be complete trash. I just don't hope on a sparkling vampire ride. A.J.
I think it's a great idea to use Super Wirbel's corkscrew for theming. The coaster track that makes up Thorpe Park's entrance looks really good.
cfc
Waste not, want not. Parks love to reuse/repurpose stuff if possible.
simaticable
It's great that the park is repurposing the track from their past coasters. It shows that they care about the park's history.
StealthFan
It's great that the park is repurposing the track from their past coasters. It shows that they care about the park's history. Â Or it shows that Alton Towers have started a new craze! Â -Craig
_koppen
This is now starting to get real interesting! Source
Jon Sabo
It will be very interesting how they will incorporate that into the theme. For now, they could add Christmas lights and call it the Corkscrew Christmas tree.
StealthFan
Cranes and concrete! I just got a little bit excited. Â -Craig
GwaziBSRider1
I love how the corkscrew is just sitting there on its side with the supports in the air. I hope they keep it that way.
TPDave
It works really well at Alton, hopefully it fits in here too.
_koppen
Still not sure if it will use a base frame or not What does everybody else think? Â Source
_koppen
The corkscrew is up! I'm also a bit surprised how many trees they have taken down for this, hopefully it will be worth it. Source
rolercstrluvr
They can always replant more trees like Liseberg is doing, cut down 82, plant 200.
rcjp
Don't some ride manufactures themselves sometimes have similar policies? I think I heard RMC saying (about outlaw run) that for every tree cut down, 2 would be planted, or was it Silver Dollar City?
Jon Sabo
I think once the ride is completed the park will replant some additional trees they lost.
gerstlaueringvar
Nice to see the corkscrew is still there. Â ^^I think RMC might be talking about the wood for their coasters.
Locostitch
Since they got China's coaster do we even know the layout now? If not it should be interesting to figure it out.
MayTheGForceBeWithYou
^I believe both Holiday Park's and China's were the same model. Someone correct me if I am mistaken.
FreeFaller
Yeah I think it's some Vampire design! Thank god it's not Wickie or Maya
gerstlaueringvar
^I believe both Holiday Park's and China's were the same model. Someone correct me if I am mistaken. This ride was originally intended to Great Mall of China. So yes, it's the same model because they are the same ride.
coasterfreak101
Wait, I thought this was supposed to be a Superman (SFDK) clone? Is there an announced layout that I've missed?
