These cars are diffrent than the Aveo

I think Chevy, and all American car companies need to act quickly to bring cars like this to the U.S., Reports are gas prices may hit $4 a gallon this summer, expect more large truck sales declines, and small car gains, The Aveo is already the leader in the super small car segment with about 40% of the market, for once I would like to see an american company take the lead, they should make all three

Also, I am very excited about Chevy's Volt concept, they say they are proceding towards production, we will see if it happens

Keep in mind it's a Chevy. JUNK!!!

I don't think thats fair

This is the same company that will introduce the Volt in two years, and Electric hybrid that can run exclusivly on batteries, much better than Toyota's hybrid design, by alot

Consumer Reports places them in the middle, ahead of most european makes, but still behind the Japanese makes

Besides, this car is made in Korea, by Gm Daewoo, I am pretty happy with the direction GM is taking, they are trying to change for the better and compete, which is alot more than can be said for Ford, which has some kick ass european models, and milk toast cars available to america, WE WANT THE MONDEO!!!

Well, I guess it would be the 5 year 100,000 mile warranty they currently offer, maybe

Besides, GM, in fact no car maker including Toyota makes batteries of any sort, you would be getting a battery from a source supplier, probably the same on toyota uses.

I am definatly wary of U.S. cars, that said, I will always root for them, and GM, Ford, and Chrysler all have to start making good cars, or they will go out of business

I think GM(Chevy) is making a change for the better, thier new full size trucks have the best fuel economy of any full size truck ever, and 15% better than Toyota's new offering, and are, acording to Motor Trend, just as well made inside

I really hope we are seeing the rebirth of the american auto, they need to take risks, like the small cars shown in this thread, they need to make the Volt, I would get one, I would get like 100MPG+ to a from work, using just a small amount of gas near the end of my commute, I really think we are seeing genuine change, and if we are not, they will end up going out of business, its that simple.

I really like the Chevy SSR and the Chevy HHR, the SSR being my favorite. However next spring when I can get a new car I want a Honda Element. Right now I have a 1995 Honda Civic that is ok, but not what I wanted.

I really hope they can pull off the Volt. The car is ready to go, the batteries are the problem. No one has made a production car before using the lithium-ion batteries that this will use. And right now they are just too expensive(though no one will say exactly how expensive).
