robbalvey
If you haven't seen them already, RCDB posted some new pics of Liseberg's new Intamin Rocket coaster. I still don't know what to make of it. It cool be REALLY good, in that crazy compact Schwarzkopf kind of way, or it could be just totally lame....what do you think. Check out these new pics: http://www.rcdb.com/de/m/ig2905.htm?picture=16 Track goes EVERYWHERE!!! http://www.rcdb.com/de/m/ig2905.htm?picture=14 Can it even be called a tophat? Or is it like a bunny hill with a twist?? http://www.rcdb.com/de/m/ig2905.htm?picture=9 I can't even tell which way you'll be going through all this mess! http://www.rcdb.com/de/m/ig2905.htm?picture=15 There had better be some airtime on that bunny hill!!! Anyway, I'm psyched about this ride. I just hope it delilvers!
Sir Clinksalot
I actually think it looks really cool. Hope it will be good and maybe some parks will see that bigger is not necessarily better. Real
Looks like there may be trims on both little airtime hills. But look on the right side of this picture: http://www.rcdb.com/de/m/ig2905.htm?picture=13 Yea, thats the bunny OFF the base of the tophat. Trims or not, I will still bet theres going to be ample airtime on this ride. I would also imagine itll be pretty intense. Its kind of hard to make a small ride like this, much less a rocket, not intense. Theres just not a whole lot of room for error and when push comes to shove, itll get run through a touch faster. But thats probably why there may be trims, its probably going to haul. Personally, looks like a double thumbs up right now. The entrance to the Barrell roll is SICK! Looking back at entrance !!! http://www.rcdb.com/de/m/ig2905.htm?picture=
Angry_Gumball
Just because it's small doesn't make it a bad coaster, although it didn't look all that appealing at first to me. After looking @ the pix of the tangled mess of track, this shorter ride looks like it would pack quite a punch. I wouldn't mind SFMW getting something like this...(They have height restrictions of 150 ft for those who don't know).
ArcovandenBroek
Kanonen looks very cool, Liseberg is on the good way!! First Balder, and now this beauty!! I hope to visit Liseberg this year!!

The loop is almost as tall as the tophat so Im sure theres some serious airtime over the tophat

coasters 4 me
I think this ride looks brilliant, even though at first i thought it wouldn't be very good.
MagnumForce
I wonder what the park is paying for something like this? Seems like it woudl be a great addition to many small-midsize parks out there. I love how it looks.
robbalvey
^ See, that's EXACTLY what I thought. When you hear rumors about a park like Cypress Gardens going to pay a few million for a Volare....what would the difference in cost be for something like this? I can only imagine the HUGE difference in GP reactions to even the worst rocket coaster versus something like a Volare. --Robb
CoasterEricHP
It looks weird.. Just have to laugh at the tophat. But I'm sure it'll deliver. I think this and RITA will kinda bring in a nice life for the Rocket Coaster.. Eric
robbalvey
While I'm still not convinced about Rita, it's actually VERY good to see the Rocket coaster being used for more than just TTD or XLR8R clones. --Robb

Those sort of rides are about all I can ever hope for at a park like Six Flags Elitch Gardens... All they ever put in is those standard small dinky things that no one really gets excited about. Now this year they are putting in a ride in the water park that is exactly the same as what has been at WaterWorld since like 1999. I wish SixFlags would splurge on a new custom ride for us but I don't think it is gonna happen. Hell I would be exstatic for a X-Car which would fit perfectly in the small footprints of the park. Scaparri
There is something about small, goofy, compact loopers that I'm attracted to. I would really like to ride this coaster. Same deal with Daemonen at Tivoli Gardens. It's a small, weird, compact looper and I want to ride it so bad!
