Theme Parks on Television

Recommended Posts

I know I could probably find an answer using the search function, but for some reason the search function is not working for me, it never resolves to a page.

I used to catch numerous coaster or theme park shows on discovery channel or travel channel a few years back, but I haven't seen one at all in several years. I was wondering if they are still being aired on these networks, or maybe you could enlighten me by telling me other ones as well. If there are new shows still being aired, how can I find a schedule for them so I can make sure I don't miss them?

I sure do enjoy watching them!

^^^working in Advertising I can tell you that the Networks love when people watch their shows. You should send a polite and legible e-mail to Discovery and Travel Channel. I'm fairly certain there is an otpion to e-mail them from their websites.

The Discover and Travel Channel Web sites should have some sort of listings--you could try scanning them for Memorial Day Weekend to see if any theme-park specials are scheduled. They might even have a page or two devoted to them.

Hi TPR Members

I believe the last programme to come from National Geographic was "SuperCoasters" in 2006; a 90-minute programme that was was released (limited release) on DVD.

Copies occassionally come up for auction on eBay, so keep an eye out for it.

DVR'ed the new '07 waterpark show last weekend, now I/we can only hope that will lead to some new coaster specials around Memorial Day weekend. With all the building that went on last season, and what's being built right now, you'd think that there would be no shortage of things to film. Here's to hoping!

Anyone ever heard anything else about the wood coaster show featuring El Toro, Voyage, and KY Rumbler? Will it ever be shown state-side? Or be available to purchase?

Starting at 2pm this Sunday, April 1st Travel Channel will be showing just about every Disney-related show they have have, including 4-5 episodes of "Great Hotels", each focusing on a different Disney Resort.

I'm recording the whole day to watch later since I'll be at Dollywood that day, but it goes into repeats even past midnight.

Discovery Channel shows don't excite me the way they used to. Now that we've got Robb's DVD's and the amateur video forum, we have all the coaster porn we need.

Some of them are good for laughing at, such as Paul Ruben praising an SLC and ACErs with Fatty Patch Jackets

this was shown on one of the uk satellite channels just last week.

it was hyped up as a race to build the best woody in 2006.

the show ended with construction still taking place so there was no pov footage etc.
