Bubba83
I know I could probably find an answer using the search function, but for some reason the search function is not working for me, it never resolves to a page. I used to catch numerous coaster or theme park shows on discovery channel or travel channel a few years back, but I haven't seen one at all in several years. I was wondering if they are still being aired on these networks, or maybe you could enlighten me by telling me other ones as well. If there are new shows still being aired, how can I find a schedule for them so I can make sure I don't miss them? I sure do enjoy watching them! jackskellington101
If memory serves correctly, generally they're on Memorial Day weekend.
spaceace12
http://www.ultimatecoaster.com/tv.asp this place usually has something, but not right now, don't know if nothing is on or if they haven't updated it.
larrygator
^^^working in Advertising I can tell you that the Networks love when people watch their shows. You should send a polite and legible e-mail to Discovery and Travel Channel. I'm fairly certain there is an otpion to e-mail them from their websites. cfc
The Discover and Travel Channel Web sites should have some sort of listings--you could try scanning them for Memorial Day Weekend to see if any theme-park specials are scheduled. They might even have a page or two devoted to them.
almightyfire
In the past few years they have showed shows on coasters but they were repeats. The building of Tatsu was the only new one that i saw last year and that was the national geograhic channel
doom1001
It seems like they don't make as many of these shows as they used to.Back like in the late 90's up until a few years ago there were new shows constantly, now all you get is an occasional repeat and 1 new one a year!!! Loco
Yea I remember just a few years ago I would love to watch "Extreme Rides" but the last time they had one of those was back when SWAT was first installed.
Simon Baynham
Hi TPR Members I believe the last programme to come from National Geographic was "SuperCoasters" in 2006; a 90-minute programme that was was released (limited release) on DVD. Copies occassionally come up for auction on eBay, so keep an eye out for it. Simon Baynham (UK)
Chadley
DVR'ed the new '07 waterpark show last weekend, now I/we can only hope that will lead to some new coaster specials around Memorial Day weekend. With all the building that went on last season, and what's being built right now, you'd think that there would be no shortage of things to film. Here's to hoping! Anyone ever heard anything else about the wood coaster show featuring El Toro, Voyage, and KY Rumbler? Will it ever be shown state-side? Or be available to purchase? chmilo24
A couple months ago, Discovery Channel were showing a bunch of shows about the history of Disneyland and Disney World. Also, when Expedition Everest was finally built, Discovery was showing, " The Making of Everest and other Disney giants."
Chadley
Starting at 2pm this Sunday, April 1st Travel Channel will be showing just about every Disney-related show they have have, including 4-5 episodes of "Great Hotels", each focusing on a different Disney Resort. I'm recording the whole day to watch later since I'll be at Dollywood that day, but it goes into repeats even past midnight.
Homer
I heard The Playboy Channel will be airing some coaster porn and a special titled "The Making of Me: KidTums Edition" on April 20th.
WillMontu
Discovery Channel shows don't excite me the way they used to. Now that we've got Robb's DVD's and the amateur video forum, we have all the coaster porn we need. Some of them are good for laughing at, such as Paul Ruben praising an SLC and ACErs with Fatty Patch Jackets
eggzter
Anyone ever heard anything else about the wood coaster show featuring El Toro, Voyage, and KY Rumbler? Will it ever be shown state-side? Or be available to purchase? this was shown on one of the uk satellite channels just last week. it was hyped up as a race to build the best woody in 2006. the show ended with construction still taking place so there was no pov footage etc.
deano
^ I only just recorded this on DVR today off Discovery. Any ideas on the best way to share it?
Divv3k
It's actually already been uploaded to the net. If you know how to work bittorrent software you can download quite a few of these shows.

cobra_roll06
They show the making of Kingda Ka quite reguarly on the National Geographic channel. I think I have watched it about three times now. I think it's so interesting and enjoying to watch! Even more than once!
