Update

Year 37

Construction is now well underway for Solar Flare.

I heard originally Hershey was going to put in another hotel here, I'm glad they decided otherwise.

The walls are coming down fast!

By removing one bad attraction, the park will now be able to add a whole new area!

It'd be great if they could add another entrance, but I doubt that'll happen. (the resort guests sure would like it!)

The first track piece has arrived.

Here's a couple a few shots of Oronga I took before leaving.

More soon.

Solar Flare looks like it will be great, but one thing....................Oronga really needs to go. Its not my personal favorite, and afew others dont really like it either, so I think that that should be replaced w/ a hyper or something of that sort.

Glad to see the park back, and I cant wait to see your new projects.

^ The park's already had a hyper.

I promise guys, unless something big happens, Oronga is here to stay - it's the park iconic ride right now. It would kill the skyline, and there's nothing wrong with it. It's about 15 feet taller than the tallest floorless. (still under 200 feet)

Year 37

Well we're a few months into the season and Solar Flare is coming along quite nicely.

Here it is - Solar Flare.

The train, after leaving the station, makes a 180 towards the launch track.

And it's history after that.

If you thing you're gonna catch a breather during the top hat, you're wrong.

It's actually not that tall, but I think its gonna pack a nice punch.

The immelman is insane... lots of nice speed here.

I don't know about you, but I'm gonna be counting this overbank as an inversion.

More soon.

This looks like it has the potential to be a capacity nightmare. I wonder why the park didn't decide to have two cars per train rather than just one. I guess this ride will be a get there early and run to it type of ride.

That airtime hill looks orgasmic. I know Abismo's was.

Year 37

Solar Flare is progressing day by day.

Here's an overview of the ride, the sand they put under the ride adds a nice touch.

It's identical on both sides, almost.

The station has been completed.

Looks like they're really going for the industrial research theme here.

The ride looks great against the hotel in the background.

Bird's Eye view of Solar Flare.

Not sure about the station, but it is something different - so I guess it's cool.

This will be the entrance to the new food court.

More soon.

It looks really nice! But there is one thing that irks me, you are using one block brake for the launch, which would cause instant (and painful) acceleration, what I liked to do when I played RCT3 was use multiple brakes one after the other with about 1-2 increment change in speed between each one. I like this method because you can fine tune the launch characteristics x-way through the launch. E.G., The launch can be gentle in the beginning, and then give a nice powerful kick at the end. Just my opinion.

Looking sweet! I love the station and theming for the ride, and it should look even better when finished. I am not a fan of the layout though. It dies coming out of the overbank.

Update

Year 37

Solar Flare's entrance is almost complete.

It's plainly visible across the entrance plaza lake.

Oronga still dominates the skyline.

The Kissing Tower and the sun.

I forget how tall Tidal Wave really is.

It's the "veteran" attraction right now - been here since the Year 5 season.

However it is a bit rough around the edges.

Zhambia Sidewinder is also doing great.

I heard this might be the next area they expand upon.

They've removed every coaster that's come in contact with this lake so maybe they're gonna let this area be untouched for a while.

More soon.

The park started in 1997. However, he has stated that his parks are "timeless" in the way that although seasons go by, the parks are sort of stuck in the current era.
