I've been following this forum and TPR for years, but I've decided to finally make an account so I can join in on the discussions. I've always been fascinated by roller coaster ever since I was a young person. However, I had a fear of them until I got older and realized just how fun they are. Now I enjoy learning more about coasters and meeting people that share the same interests as I do. I hope to travel around the US one day to visit different theme parks, but for now I'm a broke college student trying to get her degree in psychology. My home park is Six Flags New England, ergo I have an incurable addiction to Superman: The Ride. Ride it every single time I go there and I LOVE it. Current coaster count: 40 Hoping to add on 13 more this year with visit to Six Flags Great Adventure and the Joker coaster at New England I do my best to stray away from being offensive, and I ask you to PLEASE let me know if I'm offensive in any way, shape, or form. Hoping to make good contributions to this forum, and will probably publish my first Trip Report after a voyage to either a) SFNE for senior week or b) SFGAdv over summer break. Joel Hunt Posted November 28, 2016 Share Posted November 28, 2016 My name is Joel Hunt and I'm a new member. I love going to amusement parks and riding roller coasters. I live in Dublin, Ohio, which is within driving distance to Cedar Point and Kings Island. Since I don't have a car, I have to depend on my parents and friends that can drive to go to any park and they're pretty busy, so I try to visit Cedar Point about once a year. Whenever we go up to my hometown of Grand Haven, MI to visit family up there, I try to also get to Michigan's Adventure as well. My first roller coaster was Wolverine Wildcat at Michigan's Adventure in Muskegon, MI. My parents both liked roller coasters, and I was too little on my first visit to ride them. I was about 5 years old when I first rode it, and I absolutely HATED it, and I swore never to go on another roller coaster ever again. I suffered from Invertiphobia after seeing corkscrew run its course. Even after seeing the restraints on Corkscrew, that was still not enough to convince me to get on it, and always waited in the station while my parents rode it. I was even scared of Logger's Run because of the drop at the end. I did enjoy riding the scrambler though. June 6, 2000 changed my life forever, when my Mom and my 7th grade class went to Michigan's Adventure at the end of the school year. I decided to try riding roller coasters again, starting with the Big Dipper. I rode the Thunderbolt and Scrambler, before my Mom and I rode Mad Mouse as it appeared to be tame. When we got to the top it quickly learned what that a wild mouse coaster is all about. After that, we rode Wolverine Wildcat again, before moving on to Shivering Timbers, I was so nervous because of how steep the drop was. That was the coaster that got me into roller coasters. Then we moved onto Corkscrew, and when we boarded the train, I was no nervous i was sweating. After going through the inversions, I wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Then we rode Zach's Zoomer, and I was not nervous at all on that one. We rode Shivering Timbers again before going home. My parents and I went back to Michigan's Aventure again that year so I could experience the airtime on Shivering Timbers again. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have gotten obsessed with roller coasters because of it. While I'm at it, time for me to introduce myself! My name is WrasslinNCoasters. My home theme park is Six Flags Great Adventure. I have been on only 4 coasters because of my extremely tight schedule, moat of them being at SFGadv. I know, pretty wimpy if you ask me. I am also obsessed with wrestling, the fake kind. In the summers I'm a ride operator at Kings Island, and the job has given me a strong passion for all theme parks! In fact, I'm currently working towards a degree and internship that will hopefully land me a full-time career in the theme park industry. Every year I went to Mall of America and loved it. Thus the journey begins. I moved back to Tx. As where I am now. I get to go to all of the Greatest parks across the U.S. My home park is ZDT's and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. My Favorite Roller coaster as of now is the underrated Powder Keg at Silver Dollar City. I would love Outlaw Run except The restraints hurt since I am a taller guy. My least favorite coaster is Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain. R.I.P ears! My name is Joe, and my home parks are SFMM, Knott's, and Disneyland. (I'm also one of the seemingly few people who enjoy Viper and would be sad to see it go.) I'm fairly new to the roller coaster world, as my family didn't spend much time at theme parks when I was a kid. I'm scared of heights, but I've discovered my favorite coasters involve tall lift hills, steep drops, high speed, and lots of airtime. I'm not really a fan of endless inversions.
