thomas2
The Korean park Kyongju World will add a new B&M coaster by 200?. Statistics aren't availible yet but it seems to be some sort of B&M Invert. Phaethon will be the name. The news is on their website: http://www.kjw.co.kr/ Based on the picture of the main page of the website, it appears to be some sort of Inverted Sheikra, though this is most likely just a concept-art. Other pictures on the site are from Black Mamba, Montu and Nemesis.
apollo210
Hooray for more B&Ms! So this means that every year since 1992, B&M has added a new invert if Paethon ius ready by 2007 !
timetrial3141592
Why do people reuse concept art? Kanonen's included an edited Storm Runner, and Goliath @ SFOG... the video was of Nitro. It seems silly.
Scaparri
^Because it probably saves them a little cash instead of hiring people to create images and videos that probably won't make much of a difference anyway. I'm sure no matter what, the general public are going to look at it and think it looks cool.
Reon
Mmmm...Upside-down, backwards verticle drop xD Well I'm syched for this thing (even though chances are slim to none that I'll ever make it ou to that place...)
lexington
It's so weird how they are using SheiKra's concept art, yet at the same time they are building an inverted.
Shavethewhales
^I laughed heartily at that. Yeah, pretty shameless how they stole all that concept art, I wonder if it'll turn out to be a vekoma. Hmmmm.... An inverted train traveling upside-down and backwards down a massive vertical drop... someone should try it.
Gnome
^^ I, too, concur

Guest
It seems to me like this is being taken way to seriously. The GP can't tell the difference, and thats generally who the coaster is marketed to anyway. They aren't going to notice the difference, all they see is "new coaster". I'm not calling them ignorant in any way, just saying that as far as marketing, what they're doing is perfectly fine.

Indeed, that's the way marketing works. Who cares? Noone! ... just saying that as far as marketing, what they're doing is perfectly fine. But what they are actually doing is *not* perfectly fine at all. At least one photo (the Black Mamba one here: http://www.kjw.co.kr/news/news_detail.htm?num=39 ) has reportedly been used *without* permission of the photographer. (Tom Müller) This may suggest that the other pics have been bluntly "stolen" as well...
FlippyTrick09
Hmm... Looks like it will be a Sheikra/Black Mamba/Montu/(and what looks like)Nemisis CLONE! Sounds like a GREAT ride!!!
robbalvey
Could this be where SFNO's Batman is going?
Scaparri
^I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. As much as I'd like to see it stay within the SF chain, I just don't really see it happening.
rollermonkey
If this isn't a new for 2007 coaster, B&M's having a really bad year.
