robbalvey
^^ Actually, that reminds me...and this is also a question for our Internatinal readers. Can you think of any 'upbeat, quirky' songs that might be specific to your country? They don't have to be in English! We've used non-English songs before and they've worked out GREAT! Keeping in mind all the countries we are visiting this summer, a French, German, or Italian, etc song might fit it really well! --Robb
DenDen
Can you guys reccomend any other music not for Powder Keg? We're looking for songs that would be "upbeat", "quirky", you know...you've seen our videos! It doesn't have to be mainstream, it can be obscure. But we're at the time now where we start listening to hundreds of songs and narrow it down to 20 or 30. Any help would be appreciated!!! --Robb Hey Robb, How about me? http://hotmotion.com/1/sampleman7.mp3 This is a song I'm writing for my next CD, this is just an instrumental... Shockwave
Robb, have you ever heard of a Dutch Euro-pop group called the Vengaboys? They were pretty big back in the late '90s, and they've done some really bouncy tunes. Most of their recent singles came from "The Party Album" - click below. I'd recommend stuff like "Boom Boom Boom Boom" and "We Like To Party". http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:dzb1z88a1yv5 I'm pretty sure I've found them on a DDR machine so you may have heard them already! Scaparri
Robb, have you ever heard of a Dutch Euro-pop group called the Vengaboys? I'd recommend stuff like "Boom Boom Boom Boom" and "We Like To Party". "We Like To Party" is actually the song that Six Flags plays on all of their commercials. Another song I think would be good for a video is "Hey Driver" by Lucky Boys Confusion. They are a bit of a punk band and the song has a really good beat to it. Zingo!
I second CoasterFanatic's choices, especially BR-549 for PK. Excellent idea, and plenty to choose from! Reverend Horton Heat or Tenderloin also comes to mind. If you need music for any construction footage "Erection" by the Faint would fit perfectly, or so I think. VMW (formerly Virgin Mega Whores) has some pretty interesting stuff on their only CD, which is self titled. I always want to speed in my car when it's on, which seems pretty fitting to me! Captain Jack
Sum41-Fat Lip Green Day-Suffocate Taking Back Sunday-Set Phasers to Stun AC/DC-Highway to Hell or You Shook Me All Night Long As a drummer, tried to find you catchy and quick songs. In Fat Lip during the break of the song you can show some slow-mo coaster footage, just a suggestion... By the way, the Kaiser Chiefs new song, I Predict A Riot, is an excellent English song and would work, in my opinion, in a coaster video.

thunder001
Here's a couple of songs that I thought might fit into any of your DVD's and some from the land down under. Lit - Over my head...from the Titan AE soundtrack Creed - Higher Reel Big Fish - Sellout? I think that you guys might have this allready and the country one I would recommend an instrumental by Keith Urban called strangely enough " Rollercoaster ". As far as Aussie stuff goes try Killing Heidi - Superman-Supergirl Killing Heidi - I Am.....Spiderman 1 soundtrack Thirsty Merc - Sunday The Cat Empire - SLY Will try to think of some more for you guys as the grey matter is not working to well this morning. kaoticism
Not sure if you used any of these as I am a newbie to this site... For Powder Keg, what about going old school? Not country, but it's got a little bit of the right vibe going on... Mississippi Queen by Lynard Skynard Travelin' Band by Creedence Clearwater Revival For the rest, some of it's mainstream, some of it's obscure, some of it's fun, but I think any one of 'em will fit. Nothing too hardcore... Atom Bomb by Fluke Special by Garbage Get the Cool Shoe Shine by the Gorillaz Take me Out by Franz Ferdinand (that song from the PSP commercial) Extraordinary by Liz Phair Sunday Morning by No Doubt Fortune Faded by the Red Hot Chili Peppers Why Can't We Be Friends? by Smashmouth Get Free by The Vines Callin' Out by Lyrics Born (that song from the Diet Coke commercial w/ Adrian Brody) Feel Good Time by Pink (from the Charlies Angel 2 soundtrack) Three Little Birds by Sean Paul & Ziggy Marley (from the Shark Tale soundtrack) Let's Get Retarded by the Black Eyed Peas The Hit Song by DJ Format ft. Abdominal Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue Top of the World by Shonen Knife Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz All I can think of for now...
