Finally got my Retron 5 a little bit ago and overall I'm satisfied with it. It was super delayed, still has some issues, but overall it works. I still own a lot of the original consoles, but now I don't have to worry about them crashing! I'm also loving that it can play Famicom and GBA games. I haven't played my Famicom Doughboy or Magmax for probably 20 years since my mom threw my Famicom away so long ago!

Oh man, I bought "Tomodachi Life" for the 3DS about two weeks ago. So far, it's been the most addicting game I've played in recent memory. It's especially funny if you happen to have any silly or cool Mii's (i.e. presidents, celebrities, anime characters) and see who becomes friends with who. It's almost like having a fish tank. While you might not do much, it's still fun and funny to see what happens to your Mii's. I highly recommend it to any 3DS owner.

^ Heh, I like how the trailer gives nothing away other than the fact that it exists, and is set (at least partially) in Shibuya. I liked that environment in The World Ends With You, so I'm interested.

I'm currently playing Persona 3 FES as my first game in the series, and though I'm only like 6 hours into it, I think it's starting to click. The pacing of the game is so bizarre, though, I can't tell if I'm keeping up with how powerful the game expects me to be.

Is anyone else excited for Destiny? My PS3 yellow-lighted, and Gamestop doesn't accept consoles that yellow-lighted, so I was planning on getting a PS4 for The Last Of Us: Remastered, but now Destiny has really intrigued me. I may be making the decision to get a new console sooner than I originally expected because of it.

I finally got my Retron 5 a little bit ago and I've been having a lot of fun playing all my old games. It's definitely not a high quality machine, but it lets me play all my old games with only one machine. The controller sucks, but it's passable. What I do like is that it automatically includes some cheats, almost like a built in Game Genie, and it allows you to save games! This really helps for those games that don't have save points. I'm also loving that I can finally play my old Famicom games I haven't been able to play for about 25 years!

Is it still stuck on the Yellow Light? I've had that happen to my PS3's and I was able to repair them using some you tube videos. The first time, it lasted about 6 months, and the second times it's beens going for about a year with no problems!

^Youtube wouldn't be able to help me. I'm completely hopelessly impaired when it comes to anything involving taking something apart and/or putting something together. I'm unable to assemble a simple model car meant for 8 year olds. Plus, I want the PS4 remastered version of TLOU specifically for the photo mode feature which the PS3 version doesn't have.

It has been many years since I had a gaming system. Actually, the last one I had was a Nintendo Cube. I was looking for advice as I am thinking of getting one for my 8 year old daughter. However, I am also looking to use it also and not sure which brand offers the best of what I like to play. The games I played with my cube where the Star Wars Rogue Squadron and Top Gun. I am very much into military type games that I am flying a plane, tank and in the case of Star Wars a space ship. I am not much into games that I am playing a person running around though like "Call of Duty".

Any advice on the best type of system or games?

I suggest either a Wii U or a PlayStation 3. Wii U has tons of games for all audiences for your daughter (I suggest any Mario game and maybe Skylanders) and some mature games for you but I don't know if any games fit your criteria on Wii U. PlayStation 3 has more mature games that are most likely for your criteria than Wii U (I suggest Battlefield 3 and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon) with many games that are great for your daughter (I suggest any platformer game that looks like something that she will like).
