UNCHARTED 2!

The game is hella silly, ND did a great job by playing the game straight, but not by taking itself too seriously. It "feels" very Indiana Jones, and the Gears shooting w/platforming on normal-looking characters works great.

But man, the stealth section in the beginning is pretty bad.

Finally gotten back into Half-Life 2 in the Orange Box.

I actually managed to finish Anticitizen One and get a good ways into Follow Freeman, which was very satisfying.

Today, I started at about the part where you have to cross the acid pit with those wood spool thingys, all the way to where you destroy the three energy ball thingys.

Yesterday my best friend got back from school and brought his Wii with him and he has the New Super Mario Bros. and we played through the entire game from start to finish. The game is extremely fun and as addicting as the classic Super Mario games.

We also played a lot of WarioWar: Smooth Moves. Despite the game being extremely odd and somewhat creepy at times, it was a lot of fun and definitely a good game to play with a group of people.

I had never played anything on the Wii before, and from what I saw yesterday, there are some fun games. I still won't get it (buying my PS3 a year and a half ago is enough for video games for the time being) but it's a lot of fun.

I'm currently playing through Uncharted 2. In simplest terms, the game is absolutely amazing. I'm almost finished with the game and am thoroughly impressed by absolutely everything in the game.

I'm also playing Need for Speed Shift, which is quite good and a good departure from the craptastic Need for Speed gams of late.

^ Same here about Uncharted 2. It completely took me off guard, especially considering it was Naughty Dog that made it. It is definitely my pick for game of the year.

Other than that, I'm currently playing Brutal Legend, I'm about a quarter of the way in, Assassin's Creed, I'm on the second assassination mission, I'm playing through Resident Evil 4 again, I'm on chapter 4-1, I'm playing through Infamous again, final mission, and I'm playing Little Big Planet PSP.

Playing through Uncharted 1 right now. If I'm impressed by Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2 should make me cream my pants. It really does feel like I'm playing through an Indiana Jones movie.

Playing Assassin's Creed II on PS3 right now. So addicting! I haven't been able to put the controller down once I start it up. Much better than the first one by far, in terms of pacing and playability. I wish I could say how far I am into it, but as of now I have no clue! I've been playing for awhile, but the scale of the game is just ridiculous! So much to see, so much to do.

I also got Left 4 Dead 2 for Xbox 360, haven't played it as much but it's a great game. Pretty intense - it gets my heart pumping, lol. Also better than the first game.

^^I'd say Uncharted 2 is quite a bit better than Uncharted 1, which is saying a LOT since I freaking loved Uncharted 1. Uncharted 2 has a very different feel and has a nice variety of different styles of environments. I haven't gotten to finish it yet, but hopefully I will before I go back to school Saturday.

Oh yeah, have fun with Uncharted 1, I think you'll be...surprised...by the game

Started playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and finished the first two missions but I want to wait till my new HDTV arrives before going any further. Right now my team is Gambit, Iron Man, Spider-man, and Wolverine.

Also just started Rock Band 2. So far I like it, but the medium setting feels so slow compared to Guitar Hero, I kept missing notes because I'm used to GH speed.

^ Rock Band is not as forgiving as Guitar Hero. That's the issue I have switching back and forth. You may also want to check the timing on it. I had to make some adjustments for my TV to get it correctly timed.

How is Ultimate Alliance 2? I heard it's not much better than the first one (which I love, but have yet to finish).

I bought GTA IV, Lego Star Wars II, and Star Wars Forced Unleashed (all used) last week. I've tried them all, but I'm loving Lego Star Wars, right now. Half way through the Empire chapters.

I've never noticed a speed difference between the two. But, then again I don't play on medium. I would suppose at the expert level, its the same. Although the one thing that I find missing from Rock Band is the hyperspeed mode that GH has.

The only "new" game I've gotten into recently was the God of War III demo for PS3 since I bought District 9 on Blu-Ray. It was immensely fun and I now have my pre-order placed. I'm also still playing World of Warcraft in the never ending search for better gear.

My relatively undergeared warrior

So I got Batman: Arkham Asylum for Christmas and started playing it on Monday.

That game's seriously incredible. The combat flow is absolutely gorgeous, the pacing of the game is great, and it's all just so much fun. And the voice acting is all-around excellent, even if the character models are a bit statue-ish to me.

In a spoiler-free way of saying it, I just created the special formula. Anyone that's played the game should understand.

You're right. SPOILERS IN SUPER SMALL TEXT: I didn't expect it to suddenly turn it into Left 4 Dead. Must have taken a cue from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Also playing through Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction. I must say, this and NSMB Wii/Mario Galaxy series are the only good/imaginative platformers left this generation.

Ultimate Alliance 2 in the first two missions isn't too different than the first one. The coolest improvement is the fusion move, which lets you put two of your hero's powers together to either clear the room, target one person, or clear a path. I'm waiting to get to the civil war part of the story to see who I can unlock (Venom is on the cover) and what it will be like playing against other heroes.

So I finally own Shadow of the Colossus for PS2. Around a year ago, I rented the game from Gamefly and got to the 8th or so colossus, then sent it back. Now I'm past that, and am completely stuck on the 9th.

It's the turtle one, if anybody's played the game. I know how to flip it over and I know where his vitals are, but I just can't climb his belly. I've been working on it for around an hour, and haven't gotten any farther than my first try.

But anyway, the game's awesome. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing the more difficult colossi fall to the ground, but at the same time there's nothing more emotional. I heartily recommend the game to anybody that wants something that's different from other games right now.
