Suggestions for a hotel in St. Louis area

Hey gang, planning to go to Six Flags in St. Louis this weekend. I'm not AT ALL familiar with the area, and would love to stay in a hotel that's possibly walking distance. I'm going with a pretty large group, so any budget will do. Thanks.

I don't think we stayed in the area so I can't help you there, but I do remember a kickass hole in the wall Chinese Place next to the giant WalMart nearby!

 

If you want some good, non-Six Flags food, go for it!

I remember there being a nice hotel pretty much in the parking lot of Six Flags - In looking at the choices on the Six Flags St Louis Hotels website - www.sixflags.com/parks/stlouis/Lodging/index.html I am guessing it is the days inn. There are not a lot of hotels in the immediate area and that is probably the only one you could walk from.

^Thanks for the advice. I called Days Inn and they have plenty of rooms available. They even sell Six Flags tickets $13 less than buying them at the main gate. Six Flags Over-Mid... er, St. Louis, here I come!

Days inn is not really walking distance, about a mile and a half from the park. They will be the cheapest, Holiday Inn is right next to the park though and is walking distance to the park.
