thefitness
No jeep ride could ever beat out Rhino Rally If IOA did get a jeep ride I think it would be to simillar to the River Adventure...a new proto-type kind of ride would be cool so they could keep the "most technologically advanced park" tittle. savemagicmountain
Everyone is saying that IOA needs another ride, but what about Universal Studios Hollywood with only 2 legit rides?
RNRC
I hope this ride is made. IOA could really use a new ride. All the previous rumours I've heard is that it'll be a launch jeep ride through the rainforest being persued by a T-Rex. It would fit in really well with the Jurrasic Park section. Hopefully, it'll be made.
willski
^^Yeah, but USH got Mummy in 2004. IoA opened with its major attractions in 1999. After they finish the parkwide refurb of everything, they will need a new ride, but I think it would probably be for 2008. I also would hope to see this Jeep ride (as long as it was similar to Dinosaur, with less dark, boring parts). Also, they're going to have to build another tall, ugly wall to cover up the road if they build anything in the JP area. DD has one of these walls, which at least somewhat preserves the theming of the ride (you can see USO's backlot and the road once on the lift, but before you get on the ride, you can't tell unless you're looking for it). The JP area desperately needs another ride. JPRA is good, but that's it unless you're a kid (Camp Jurassic is awesome though for kids-my brother loved it). A very low to the ground silenced flyer would be great, then you could have P-flyers jr. and sr.
Wes
Everyone is saying that IOA needs another ride, but what about Universal Studios Hollywood with only 2 legit rides? USH is a working movie studio that happens to have a theme park, there are sound and sightline issues that need to be considered because of it (this is why most attractions are housed in buildings). USH also doesn't have much workable space at all. There are far less tourist dollars being spent at USH, and they have to discount the park (Buy a day get a YEAR free!) to get locals to come. USF is a full on resort that needs to compete with Disneyworld. This is why USF gets tons of attention while USH receives little. You should be happy USH got Mummy, the only reason that was built was to make the park's more attractive to a potential buyer (GE).
Gnome
all i know is that there are huge lots of unused land on both sides of JPRA. The lot inbetween the flying unicorn and JPRA is the largest, and could house another Spiderman building! (thats hot big it is). The other lot inbetween JPRA and ripsaw falls is probably large enough for a cat in the hat sizd building. So if they are going to build the jeep tours...it would most likely be between JPRA and flying unicorn. one can only hope source-google earth I believe the lot between JP and TL is larger then the lot between JP and Unicorn. USF is a full on resort that needs to compete with Disneyworld. This is why USF gets tons of attention while USH receives little. You should be happy USH got Mummy, the only reason that was built was to make the park's more attractive to a potential buyer (GE). I kind of would have rather seen ET left in its place or Spiderman, though I think Spider-man would probably have been to large to fit in its allotted spot and as a result, would be dimmed down and not as exiting just like USH's Mummy. Also, I think that its possible the jeep attraction might come. Maybe thats why the JPRA doesn't quite have all the different scenes that hollywood's has because they had possibly planned for those scenes to go elsewhere? CK Media
Hmm. I think the biggest problem would be conflicting storylines. They can't really use Trex because he's messing up the place in river adventure. But I guess raptors can chase the jeeps. It's be cool if the jeep ride were indoor/outdoor. Like you'd load up in front of the conservatory like in the movie then you would enter a tunnel disguised as thick bushes. For the helicopter all I can think of is a simulator or for a hefty sum you can fly from the entrance of the park to a helipad on top of river adventure
jarmor
Why cant they use a T-rex? In the movie it was more than one T-rex!

BarryH
I think Jurassic Park at IOA needs a wooden roller coaster. A dark ride is nice, but from the concepts I've read about and rumored -- the jeep ride and the helicopter tours -- the storyline is similar to JPRA: your scenic boat ride/jeep tour/helicopter tour is interrupted by dinosaurs that want you for lunch! jedimaster1227
^ There really isn't enough room for a decent sized woodie (and please don't say that Cypress Garden's Triple Hurricane is decent sized) in Jurassic Park. Even if the new ride annexed the old Triceratops Encounter area, it wouldn't be enough to build a ride that the park would really endorse along the lines of the Suess Sky Trolley (as that was a pretty major addition for the park). I see more of some kind of flyer in the future for the park, but thats just me...
jarmor
I mean look at that boardwalk woodie. I think anything is possible even a wooden coaster in IOA!
alpengeist04
GCI or Intamin would be the only type of woodie I'd like to see at IOA. ...and I would take either-or over a B&M flyer anyday.
