CreativeForce
I think Jack says something along the lines of "He came and visited me" when he and Kate were talking in that scene discussing why she didn't go to the funeral. Thanks a lot Larry, nowI think I'm going to have to go and rewatch that scene again!
Groteslurf
Having seen now the first 5 episodes of season 5, I must say I'm still very confused and to be honest, so far I didn't really like the start of season 5. Hopefully, once it is clearer where this is all going to, I might start to like it again, but so far, no.
krazekiddd
This has to by my favorite episode of the season so far! I'm either assuming the island only took them off the plane, or eventually, they'll find a crash site.
stingrock23
^I think they flashed to where/when the other losties are, and the rest of those on the plane will experience an actual crash, ala Oceanic 815. It's amazing that this show keeps getting better and better.
Nrthwnd
I had read that there were two new characters being 'introduced' into the season. And this may be them, the two other people who were on the plane: the woman with Sayid, and the guy who earlier gave Jack his condolences (about John), in the ticket line at the airport. They were both on it. Going to be interesting to see where Sun ended up at this 'time,' heh heh.
krazekiddd
So any thoughts on Jin wearing a Dharma outfit? Maybe he had no choice?
Meteornotes
^My theory is that after Locke turned the wheel, the rest of them were "stuck" in the time period that they were currently in, which I'm guessing is right around when the Dharma people showed up and started building stuff on the island. So they blend in with them and start working with them. Remember, we saw Faraday working with them at one point. dt
krazekiddd
^I completely forgot about Faraday working for them. That does make sense. Man, I have to watch this show at least two times to catch everything.
larrygator
^^I'll agree with Dave, also. It was not intially obvious to me, but after talking to co-workers that was our conclusion. Although you have to wonder how he joined them. "Hey, me and my friends are time traveling and are now stuck here in time, can we join you?" Questions I still have: Who did Sawyer tell Kate to contact when she left the island, before he jumped from the helicopter? Where is Aaron now? So why was Ben all bloody and beaten (Did he kill Penny?) It appears Sayid is under arrest, but why is he flying to Guam? Are Rose and Bernard still alive? Yes, I care. I still want to know what the deal with the smoke monster is? Was Richard a survivor from the Black Rock? Why/when did Widmore leave the island? The Lamppost sounds like a name from the Dharma Initiative but it sure seems like others found the island first. How did the US Government find the island? I probably have dozens of others questions I can't think of right now.
Nrthwnd
And how did Hurley know that this was the flight to get? And what got him out of police custody (Ben, somehow?), and what changed his mind, to join them on the flight? Not only that, but buying practically all the seats for the flight so only he and the others (plus two and crew, lol) were on it? And then there's Frank "we're not going to Guam are we, Jack?" as pilot, LOL.
larrygator
^It looked like there were other people on the flight just not in first class. The camera did pan to the back of the plane. I don't think Hurley and Sayid knew they would be on the same flight as those returning to the island. The island arranged this.
SharkTums
Ok, so I just watched the last four episodes and am going through a bit of an overload!!! I thought Claire's mom died??? Wasn't there a car crash or something in Australia? I'm confused.
Corkscrew
Claire's mom never died, but her dad, who is also Jack's father, is dead.
Nrthwnd
The island arranged this. Best reason I've heard, so far. (Edit: Darnit....missed it ... Post #4747! )

SharkTums
Remember that creepy lawyer told Ben that Hurley would be out of jail by morning. The morning of the day of the flight so that's fine. I doubt that Kate killed Aaron, my thinking is that she gave him to Claire's mom. I agree that it would be kind of a cop out in a show as crazy as lost, but I really doubt they would have Kate kill a child.

larrygator
^So why did Hurley freak out when he saw Ben on the plane?
SharkTums
^Is it possible Hurley had something to do with Ben getting beat up and perhaps thought he was dead or wouldn't be able to travel? Or maybe it's just Hurley being Mental Hurley!!!
krazekiddd
Either they are being tight lipped or I cannot find any good spoilers out there. I usually use Spoiler Fix but I don't see anything major on there. Although even with spoilers, I'm generally still surprised on this show in one way or another. dino
"Oh stop thinking how ridiculous it is and start asking yourself whether or not you believe it's going to work." ---What Eloise told Jack after she gave him Locke's suicide note. Pretty much summarized the whole show for me .
Nrthwnd
^ Which of course, would then immediately bring Desmond back to the island, looking to go after Ben. And kill him. Awful scenario - but possible/probable.
SharkTums
I don't think Ben every just 'tries'...if he wants something to happen, it will happen! And I agree...Ben is just that amazing character that you want to hate, but just love so much!!!
larrygator
No spoilers! Just a great episode where we finally start getting some answers versus more questions.
krazekiddd
^I thought it was pretty much "mostly" boring until a certain part! Still I enjoy this show.
