mcjaco
Must be nice being able to go outside during the day. We were lucky if they opened up the courtyard for us the last few weeks. Ceramics, I took that senior year. My Mother still proudly displays my ceramic aardvark from that class.
Scaparri
I'm still dumbfounded by your high school. The whole concept of an outdoor campus or whatever you wanna call it is so weird, but pretty cool. Kind of like going to a small college it seems. -Scott "my high school was a big brick building with few windows" Parrish
mb425
Wow, your school is really open! My school is nothing like that at all, we're not even allowed to go outside (except the seniors during lunch). Just curious, how does your schedule work? I take it you don't have the same classes every day like I do. I wish my school make our schedule less confusing, people always freak out when I say that I have 12 periods. steel
^Same here. Four-minute passing makes no sense. I am also curious as to how your schedule works. Are you sure you don't go to college, because that high school is enourmous. My high school is nice and old, with wood paneling, etc. I've been thinking about recreating it in RCT2. Yes. I am that much of a dork. Look! It's Theadore Roosevelt High School!

pvcoasterguy
I'm sooo happy my school doesn't do block scheduling... I believe that it's a terrible idea and the concept itself is flawed. Foreign language and math courses get particularly screwed in block scheduling... there is only so much you can do in one class.

Project X
Nice robot, but can it handle a tetra well? Gotta love the poof right under it. Did you guys make it up to nationals? P.S. My robot can beat up your robot.

SLUSHIE
Looks like my high school, but with open space. My school had something like 10,000+ students, and one area to hang out. It got pretty hectic at break, but it was better at lunch because they split the school up into two lunches. They opened a new high school the year after I graduated. I've never seen it but I heard it has the nickname Legoland.
Token Yankee Guy
Great TR Ryan. Brings back memories of my days in Ceramics class where we didn't build Haunted Mansions....we built big ass tea kettles. I also probably beat everyone where with having the smallest school size... 240 kids (when I was there) 9-12. Graduating class of 55 kids back in 2003 Here's the kettle btw

thomas2
2. Did that Sarah girl eat all the clay??? LMAO the best comment Altough that Sarah girl looks quite fun to me (I once had a friend who really is a look-a-like of Sarah, and she rocked) Seriously Americain schools are so different from European. You have a ceramic class. They let you built robots in class? Wow I can only dream of that! Everything is soo much bigger then here (including some kids ) Cool school! steel
^Don't jusdge all American schools from that one. My school doesn't even have a German class, let alone robotics of any kind. The most interesting on-campus class we have is probably Play Production. There are off-campus classes at a different location, but it clogs up your schedule (though you do almost invariably get out of PE, so I'm looking into taking German there next year). smells_like_team_disney
Most schools out in SoCal have a very open plan, where instead of having all classrooms in one ginormous building (like in the midwest and east coast), there are several other buidlings throughout campus. I have to admit that your high school is probably bigger than my college (then again, so was my high school ). Anywho, awesome photo TR, Ryan. Takes me back to the craziness of my high school years (although we didn't have a Robotics class ).

Calvin
Wow, I could like, totally stalk you. Buchanan is a pretty good school, and I like how it has a big ol' main building with two floors and then smaller buildings elsewhere. Sure beats Clovis West's campus. "Hey, let's put letters on the buildings, but instead of them being in alphabetical order, let's put them in order based on the Swiss Platinum Cuboid Rhombus Model Forumula!" "Brilliant!" "And in place of a grassy student commons, we can put a hill shaped like a wedge! Right in the middle of the school!" "Double-brilliant!" We go from 7:40 to 2:35, we don't have a break (I remember when we had breaktime back in 4th grade), and we have 30 minute lunch with sickenming food. However, Roosevelt isn't hard to figure out. I think I'd be lost for three out of four years at Buchanan. What is the basic layout of the school? Roosevelt is a big "I" with a horizontal line through the middle and two catwalks leading to the gym from the back.
