OMG I went to Las Vegas this weekend, and rode the ride "X-Scream" at the top of the stratosphere and was about to die. I sat in the very front...bad mistake... We went shooting towards the end and I just knew I was about to die. We went up and rolled back then went forwards again, and it was not as scary the second time, but then it just droped like ten feet. Ten feet may not sound like that much but when you are 1,000 ft up in the air it is like a mile. I just knew the ride had broke when it droped like that. I never did ride "Insanity" but thats just because it took all I had to stand up after I got off that ride. Did anyone else feel like they were going to die, and couldnt walk after they rode it? Would you ever ride it again?

I was in Las Vegas last week, as part of my california and nevada trip.

I rode all three rides on top of the tower, and they were really great.

I have done X-scream also in the very front and I liked it.

I'm not that scared of heights and thrillrides, but Big Shot is still the best up there.

When i'm back in vegas one day, i'm sure i'll ride them all again.

I rode it 4 times the first nite I was there (which was Insanity's launch party, in which Insanity gave about 3 rides and then went down, not giving us the opportunity to ride).

I'm terrified of heights, and this was by far the scariest thing I've ever done. But I'd do it again.

Yeah, X-Scream is pretty freaky, but not nearly long enough. If I didn't get the arm band and just paid $8 for one ride, I would definately feel ripped off. Well, more ripped off than most of the other rides in Vegas (Manhattan Express excluded). But yeah, your heart definately races as it starts to slide out to the edge and when it suddenly drops.

I'll be dead honest with you, I don't think there's any way I'd be able to go on any ride on top of the Stratosphere tower and since they've stripped it of its credit I have no need to go up there. I can handle heights, drop towers etc. but Stratosphere is pushing it. I don't think I'd even be able to stand outside on the observation decks without being overcome by vertigo.

Actually, other than on X-Scream's platform, there isn't much vertigo on top of the tower, it's pretty wide. The shot tower is great, it's pretty much like any other, but once you get shot up to the top, you can tell you're not down on the street. I AM afraid of heights, but loved the Strat, can't wait to go back.

I would ride it! The heights have nothing to do with it. Its the fact that I would hate for it to get stuck then have no way off getting back. I though being stuck on Raging Bull for 30 mins was long! Imagine being there for and hour or two!

I really think that they need a skyscraper ride that extends off the edge!
