New Space Mountain (DL) and Mummy Florida are in the top two for me flollowed closely by Scooby-Doo (WB Movie World Australia) and Mummy Hollywood. FoF is a fun ride as is Exterminator and somwhere down the list is Disatser Transport (hey, I like the ride plus it's my first and only bobsled coaster) and I think I can count Eureka Mountain Mine Ride at Dreamworld (think wild mouse without all the 180°s in the dark)

Can I count Superman Escape? It has a dark ride part too it.

Disaster Transport! No questions asked.

I was beat to that joke. Darn.

My best dark coaster experience is 11:00 PM on MF, but we'll say that doesn't count. For me, it's definitely Rock 'n' Roller Coaster @ MGM. This was the ride that first got me into coaster enthusiasm and was my favorite for a short while (until I went to CP, in other words).

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at DLR Paris. If you compare this ride to Xpress at Walibi World you can see what theming can do to a ride, because they have the same track layout. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is awesome. I like the music, the light effects, the q-line, the loading station and Tyler screaming 3, 2, 1, GO!!. I didn't care that the ride was kinda rough, because it's in harmony with the rock theming. Xpress is just the roller coaster version of a plate of spaghetti, standing there, twisting and turning, without any theming.

I quess the the rnrc's in the US have the same track layout as Rock 'n' roller coaster at DLR paris.

I had trouble deciding between Space Mountain, RNRC and Revenge of the Mummy (USF). Space Mountain was my first roller coaster and I still really love it (in the top 10), RNRC is just amazing, though short, and I love the music but overall, RotM gets my vote. The theming is truly amazing and I love the effects and the upwards launch. It's just a great experience and may be my favorite coaster of all time. On my last trip I managed to ride it atleast 6 times between park-hopping between both parks all day.

So what is YOUR favorite? It has to be completely inside a structure the whole ride like Space Mountain and unlike Verbolten or Revenge of the Mummy.

Revenge of the Mummy is totally enclosed--and Universal Florida's version is still the best of the bunch. The "dark ride" stuff is well done, and there's some nice airtime during the second half of the ride.

I don't know why I said that... I meant to use Mystery Mine as an example but I had RotM on the mind, hahaha.

I've been on:

Space Mountain

Revenge of the Mummy Hollywood

Revenge of the Mummy Orlando

I like all three, but I think Revenge of the Mummy Hollywood and Space Mountain are slightly better than Mummy Orlando. I just feel that Orlando's Mummy lacks the flow that Space Mountain and RotM Hollywood have.

I've been on so few totally enclosed coasters it's hard to really rank them, but I'd probably say Space Mountain (no idea which one would be best, as I rode the one at WDW only once in 1976 when I was a child and was terrified by it, and rode the one at DL around 2001 or so, before it was re-built - I can only imagine what my adult coaster-loving self would now think of a ride that scared me half to death as a child!).

Next would be Exterminator at Kennywood (IMO this coaster is really underrated; yes it's just an indoor mouse but totally blows away similar lame crap like Dark Knight at SF Great Adventure) - the theming and effects are nice and I really like the way you can get a different ride each time based on how the cars spin.

Third would be Flight of Fear - I've been on the ones at KI, KD and Carowinds, not sure which one is best but I do know that the last time I rode one of them (not sure if it was at Carowinds or KD, I visited both parks the summer before last within a couple of days of each other) it was hot as hell that day and the A/C was broke inside and the station area just seemed to be rather run-down and wore out looking. That took a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me. Might as well go ride Joker's Jinx at night!

Space Mountain is best for overall ride experience.

Flight of Fear is best as far as the actual coaster goes.

Revenge of the Mummy is the most well themed while on the ride (mostly due to the dark ride section).

1. Space Mountain at Disneyland as its soundtrack gives it a whole new dimension and narrative. Plus, I appreciate that it isn't just a coaster in the dark, its a coaster set in outer space.

2. Revenge of Mummy Hollywood - Good dark ride section but why is the coaster taking place in darkness? It seems random, why not rushing through giant pyramid.

3. Mummy Orlando - Same reasons as Hollywood except poor poor poor pacing with much more cheese.

4. Space Mountain Florida - No soundtrack = lame lame lame lame lame experience.

Space Mountain: De la Terre a la Lune at DLRP (now Mission 2). Rough, but I enjoyed the Jules Verne theme, and the layout was quite fun.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

No, wait.

Rock 'n Roller Coaster @ Walt Disney Studio's, it's only better then the Orlando version thanks to the theming inside the coaster section...

and!

Eurosat @ Europa Park, you just need to love that ride!
