If the park is still open till 11 that night then it will likely be very busy. But with Bill's approach a couple posts up, you should be able to do the whole park no problem. chickenbowl 0
While there's a lot of RMC hype in another thread today, Mean Streak has it's THIRD inversion track placed! A standard zero-g roll (much like the two at the end of Wicked Cyclone)
jynx242 0
Should be pretty cool doing that roll inside the structure!
coasterbill 452
The barrel roll down inside the structure of Wicked Cyclone is one of the coolest moments on the entire ride, I'm sure this will be just as awesome. Barrel rolling through all of those supports is a pretty cool feeling. Edited August 3, 2017 by coasterbill
TBpony414 0
^NICE! I remember seeing those ledgers up in July and getting excited for a third inversion. It being in the middle of the structure like that's going to be a wild experience!

I'm glad they're keeping that aspect
Samuel 0
With the third inversion in place, I hope the final stretch is simply 1000+ ft. of buck-nutty airtime hops and crazy turns. I'd also love for it to stay inside the structure on the far side (under the MCBR & 2nd/3rd hills). I hope that that path still exists after the modifications. I've seen a few "dream" POVs imagine a double barrel roll somewhere near the end like on Outlaw Run, but I'd prefer insane bunnies. There's potential for the finale to be one of the greatest airtime onslaughts of all time.
jynx242 0
^I'd like to see them re-create Texas Giant's original "Magic Carpet Ride" ending. That was one of my favorite coaster moments ever.
CP Maverick 0
I'm not sure what that description means, but it looks like it just had airtime hills on curves. Was that unique to TG?

JT325 0
^I'd like to see them re-create Texas Giant's original "Magic Carpet Ride" ending. That was one of my favorite coaster moments ever. Â Oh my. That magic carpet was straight from heaven. My (many) rides on the Texas Giant were in 1990 (ACE con) and 1995 (I was a park intern that year). The entire ride was seriously awesome, but I know that didn't last. Â But man, that magic carpet. It was like little magic shining sprinkles on to of a gut buster ice cream cone. What is that section like now?
jonskinny12 9
I looked at that picture of the third inversion for a good 20-30 seconds before I actually saw it inside all the supports. That's going to be fun.
DoinItForTheFame 4
I looked at that picture of the third inversion for a good 20-30 seconds before I actually saw it inside all the supports. Â Same here!! Â I even showed it to my partner and I said "New Mean Streaks 3rd inversion has been placed. . ." And he looks at it for a minute and said "Yeah, right. Obviously not." So I zoomed in, and he was like "OMG! That's going to be amazing!!!" And I bet he is right!!

Cavs Fan 0
Looks pretty nutty. Crazy to think that a park like Cedar Point can continue to introduce coasters that people can go and ride and come off saying "this one is my favorite." When people ask me what the best ride at Cedar Point is, I already have a hard enough time figuring out what to tell them. Â As far as a name goes, I see this as a candidate to be named "Renegade". Fits in to the teasers. Although I'm not sure how the corporation would feel doubling down on that name.
macman820 0
On another note, the winners for the mail-in "sneak peak" are being selected today! The official rules say no later than August 4th, emails will be sent to winners. Good luck to everyone!
jynx242 0
I'm not sure what that description means, but it looks like it just had airtime hills on curves. Was that unique to TG? Â The Old Texas Giant is the only time I've ever experienced anything like that. It felt like the train was going basically every direction at once (laterals with airtime.) I rode it when it was pretty new so it didn't feel like you were going to die.
macman820 0
Question: I won the sneak peek contest and I have to pick up my tickets at Guest Services that morning. I'm staying at Breakers so I get early entry. Will Guest Services be open at 9 AM?
Nrthwnd 73
^If they know it's happening, they should be open that early. Other than that, there are many early room reservations we've seen, so I'm pretty sure Guest Services is up pretty early for such stuff. Â What I remember from our early EARLY morning for CoasterMANIA! (June 2), they informed us about the shuttle(s), soon to arrive. Â EDIT: Congrats & Have a great day!!!
