coasterbill 296
^^ Â so im going to cedar point this Friday and Saturday.how often does the weather change up there? Should i post pone? Â No, you shouldn't "post pone". In-fact you should really shouldn't post anything, anywhere, of any kind. Â But actually the forecast looks fine. A passing storm Friday and intermittent showers Saturday isn't really a big deal.
jonskinny12 9
On my trip to CP earlier this year, for my first day the forecast was saying rain most of the day for at least a week leading up to it. Even in the morning of my first day it still said there were going to be showers for most of the afternoon. It was sunny all day and we never felt a single rain drop. So yeah, the forecast can change dramatically, even within 12 hours of when a storm is supposed to hit.

bill_s 2
Taking a chance with rain and storms can be worth it for locals but may be too chancy for a long trip. But unless you're planning on fast pass, on a Saturday it's still probably better... unless you're mainly interested in Dragster. Â I went to my park 2 evenings close together with the exact same forecasts which were equally correct. I think it rained a little on one but was pleasant. The other there was a storm starting 1.5 hours from close, knocking out the entire visit. You never know... There was a storm the time I went to Hershey. I saw a nice show and if I'd gone on and took a short break and eaten without going to the suddenly-crowded Chocolate World, so I'd been waiting for the rides to open and got the best break in the crowds, it would have worked out as a big plus, since I needed to do some of that stuff anyway. PVA62 0
i been planing this trip for ever so dont wana cancel   Oh man, that is so good! lol Where did that come from???  Regarding Mean Streak, I'm rooting for a topper track conversion. Looking at Wildfire, Outlaw Run, and Lightning Rod, I don't think there is much they couldn't do with Topper Track that they do with the IBox track. I think it would be cool to see something a little different. Either way, whatever comes will be way better than what Mean Streak was.

CP Maverick 0
It appears the bottom of the lift has been removed. Probably photoshopped. Â Posted by the Single Riders group on FB:

BoulderDash 7
It is definitely interesting that all of those supports are gone. I would either say there is going to be a launch there or maybe a more drawn out pre-lift with a steeper lift.
gerstlaueringvar 0
Since there's a head chopper on the lift and steel coaster having higher friction than wooden coaster, they are probably pushing back the lift for a bit and using a steeper lift. That way the turn above the lift hill won't have to be super slow.
