RedB Posted March 31, 2011 Share Posted March 31, 2011 ^In a similar vein to Mindy's question, would I be insane to do a Cedar Point trip 4th of July weekend? I can't make it for Coastermania like I wanted. I'd still like to do Kennywood and Waldameer as well. If you don't mind lines, it is a fun atmosphere. Probably won't be able to get everything done in one day though. Would I be crazy to go to Cedar Point on Memorial Day Weekend. This is the only weekend I can go, we will be there Friday and Saturday then hit up Kings Island on Sunday. I will be taking my 4 year old son and my mom so we will have someone to stay with him while we go ride the big stuff. Do you think it's worth the trip or will it just be so packed we wont have a good time. I have not been to Cear Point in about 4 years. It's a 9 hour drive for us. Same pretty much applies to you. Looks to be about 1/3 of the way up the lift already (in the pic)... as well as all the way back down through the station, all the way to the final tunnel (observed). Photos are courtesy of Adam form Pointbuzz who attended an event this past Saturday. Also, Windseeker is now VERTICAL (even more....) Two more pieces went up yesterday. The Ride is now visible from the causeway, Its so large. Closer Look Going UP Turn after second tunnel. Note, Track AND Supports have been painted. It looks like it was originally painted dark maroon or something. I think Raptor needs one too, because it's almost completely coated in bird crap... jmicha Posted April 7, 2011 Share Posted April 7, 2011 ^Raptor was painted not all that long ago. It just needs a REALLY extensive washing to get all the bird crap off of it. The parts that aren't coated in bird poop still look good. As for Millennium Force being painted, that is fantastic. It was really starting to look awful and neglected.
