Midgetman82
Well if it stands 300 ft', then that's fine by me. I don't know about you, but I think this ride looks quite fun to ride since it goes up high and spins around the tower. Also this ride makes the Cedar Point ride collection even bigger, and it's awesome that they are sharing the same ride with it's other 3 parks. phantomfan93
Its weird because people are complaining alot about this, but did they all complain when 10 or so Batman clones went up in a 2-3 year span through Six Flags parks?
Skycoastin Steve
How many other rides in this country can you get on and have your legs dangling at almost 300 feet in the air? That's really all I have to say to anyone that has a complaint about this.
phantomfan93
^ That is true and I'll probably have a heart attack on this ride.

arson
Aren't all these rides about the scenery? It's not like all four parks have the same topography, adjacent rides, etc. Somehow, I don't think Knott's and Canada's Wonderland (or any others) will have the same feel to them, because of the view. Putting this at both KI and CP elevate them (pun!) above other parks, it doesn't put them in competition. In fact, if each park had gotten a different ride, then you would have an uneven playing field. The only thing I'm a little sad with, is what the rest of the parks are going to install (sans Valleyfair, Dorney, Worlds of Fun).
Midgetman82
It seems Knotts will have theirs have two Giant K's on top. That's the only theming I know out of them. *sniff*, *sniff*! Hey, do you smell something burnt?!
phantomfan93
I'm goin the weekend of October 8th on Halloweekends, how crowded do you think it'll be? P.S. I know its a month and a half away.
thrillrider
Be prepared for heavy crowds. Halloweekends, is probaly the busiest time of year at the park.

Tmcdllr
Be thankful you're even getting anything new. You could be a fan of California's Great America...and get jipped on a new major attraction yet again! Exactly! So why are these people complaining? phantomfan93
^ Because every spoiled person expects CP to go big and think that they should get evrything they want...
SharkTums
Awww, poor CGA locals! Maybe they'll get something at some point, other than a bulldozed park!
sixflagsguy5
Looks really cool. I'm not really a fan of flats, but I really liked the smaller version of this at Martin's Fantasy Island (not sure if it's the same manufacturer).
Tmcdllr
Absolutelt amazing! How can these two people be in 4 different parks at the same time? Knott's Canada's Wonderland King's Island Cedar Point ...LOL!

I still don't get why people call them "flat rides"... this is taller than most roller coasters! I'm really excited for the whole lot! I especially like the Point's version's location. I make one post a month, does it really matter what you call it? Anyways, I'm glad that they are adding something to that side of the park. I always like going to a park and having a good balance of new/ somewhat new rides throughout the park. Also, I like the restraints on these. I really don't think having a sliding bar on a chain is enough on any swing ride. Edited August 25, 2010 by sixflagsguy5
Dragon Khan
My home park hasn't added rides in years. Actually, they REMOVE rides every year without any kind of replacement: a Vekoma Corkscrew put to scrap metal, an Intamin Bounty of which the park never repaired the burnt motor, this year, the removal of an enterprise, some years ago, a prototype Doppelmayr which opened, closed, reopened and reclosed for good (now everyone knows which park i live by), and a Schwarzkopf shuttle loop that hasn't run for 2 years and is probably going to be dismantled or at best, replaced with a spinning mouse... Oh, I forgot: the waterpark once included isn't anymore. Well... I'd be happy to receive the ride CP is getting, even half sized...
rckrazy06
I am pretty interested in how this will ride at that height. Perhaps this is just a cover up for installing new drop towers. Me seeing these pictures reminds me of Kennywood's old "Swingaround." I miss that ride so much right now. Combining the swinging movement of the swing around(they did swing you out to an almost 90 degree angle right?) with the height of this right would probably make me jizz in my pants. Mastersax68
^And that's a bad thing? If I go to CP next year, I'm sooooo looking forward to this ride. It looks like CP has found a way to make an already extreme ride more extreme by making it swing over the beach. Looks awesome!
