FeelTheFORCE
I wonder when the animation videos on Maverick's web page (the POV, action, aerial, etc. videos) will be changed to an "S-curve".

kraken613
I dont think it would. But it would be nice to see what the s-curve would be like. will it be highly banked?
cprocks22
^Judging by this picture i think it might www.cedarpoint.com
Blazen_AZN
^ Is the exit of the bank at less of an angle then that? That confuses me, when its so close to 90*, you basically have to bank 180* if you're going upside down or right-side up... I think this s-bend thing might still be pretty crazy. Loco
^That's what im saying! Its going to be one quick transition.
waterviper
In all honesty everyone, it does not look like it's going to be any different than the other s-curves this thing has already when it transitions from on turn to the next in that one section. Exactly what I was thinking. The S-curves in the beginning are banked pretty good, this will probably be the same.
kewlcoasterdude
I think the S-curve is going to be sweet! It is going to be one heck of a transition. I think it might actually be better than the heartline roll.
JustCheckinIn
just curious, does anyone know what used to be where Maverick is now? I always wonder when they make new rides what happened to the old ones.

KrazyT
They started reinstalling the track.
Cheesey
^Interesting...I heard a rumor on Point Buzz that they are going to try to open it on Memorial Day...Maybe there is some merit to this rumor after all, though that is only 6 days from now. Now I'm wondering if they will have to do another pull through just on this part of the ride, or if since it was testing before it will be more or less ready to go once they finish installing the new track (with a few test runs.) ratdogg68
We shall soon find out, replacement track arrived on site late last night, in the process on placing it today
waterviper
You know what else I find kind of odd, this is turning out to be a quick fix as if they anticipated it! Hmmm! They probably designed that spot so an S-curve would fit perfectly in case the heart line needed removing..which it did.
FeelTheFORCE
I'm stupid. Sorry about that.

FeelTheFORCE
The track piece they are unloading is banked very little, if any. I guess the other two will be banked pretty good then. It also looks as if they didn't pour any new footers, instead, it looks like they just made supports that utilize the current footers' locations. dandaman
Looks like I missed the track by a mere few hours. I'll have the TR up in a few days, but it sure does look all nice 'n shiny for opening! (Though there's some tunnel work being done, i.e. scaffolding and such across the tunnel entrance. Seemed odd to me.)
hemmy
Dude if they can get the track installed today, test the new pieces of track and refill the pond thing by next week that would be so amazing. Might not happen, but it is easily doable and I think CP wants this to open as fast as possible.
cprocks22
^I actually think its possible too. I'm guessing that they got all the programing done while they were waiting for the new track (at least i hope) and if they did then ya all they need to do is test it. Wow ... kennywood!007
I'm going to CP in June, early June that is. Hopefully they get this thing up and going. Although if they don't, I don't mind, the ride doesn't look that great IMO anymore. I'm looking forward to Raptor more than anything. (It's my first time to CP period.)
