They ran Steel Vengeance and Maverick in the rain last night, I was absolutely shocked. All trains, too! The ops said depending on the coaster they can run in 'light to mild rain' Hey uh, improvement! 

Fast Lane made the day a breeze yesterday. Waiting 30 at most for SV and Millennium. 3 front row rides on Dragster, wowwww.

The common phrase you will hear around Wicked Twister is guests talking about how they forgot how fun it is, and now they don't want it to go hah! 

Thirsty Pony will forever be in my heart as a dumpy yet better than normal cheesy bar, but prices have gone up this year for sure. I know meat prices are up, but I don't remember paying over $7 a beer before. Sandusky seems to be really investing in this 'Cedar Corner' which is Cedar Cove, Castaway, Thirsty Pony, the revamped hotel next to it [ex Rainn] and the new Holiday Inn. Keep improving! 

I'll be at CP today, tomorrow, and some of Thursday if anyone wants to say hey let me know!

^How much are FL+ prices going for with Platinum pass discount? We're going at the end of the month and it sounds like things are going pretty good this year!

It varies by the day. Just go to the cedar point site and pick the day you want to see the price for. Look for the Fast Lane price (not the plus) and that's what it (should) cost at the park. Used my pass to buy two on Sunday for friends with no issues.

$109 during the week. Easy buy. I had Maverick and SV ERT this afternoon. The price jump has really scared a lot of people (mainly teens/kids with daddy's credit card?) Away. A lotta chatter about "did you see how expensive it is nowwwwwwww?!".

There a million places to buy it in park. Just show your plat pass and you get FL+ for FL PRICE.

Just to add a bit more speculation to what could be replacing it, someone in another group pointed out the past attractions book showed MaxAir in one of the photos as a defunct ride. So there is some speculation it was quietly snuck in as being removed as well. Now I do know they've been working on it on and off this year, so who knows. Maybe they're cutting their losses at this point or it'll be fixed. Leaves a lot of room for potential expansion if that goes and they relocate the ridea around that area as they've done before.

To make use of both the MaxAir and Wicked Twister site would require a LOT of relocations - they're not that close together.  Ferris Wheel, Troika, Tiki Twirl, and Dodgem are all between the two.  Unless some/all of these are also headed out of the park, I'm not sure how much room you think they have to relocate these to.  I'd say Windseeker would be the better removal; it's right next to WT and basically never runs at this park anyway due to the constant wind coming off the lake.

...But I guess I could see it.  Remove the drive-'em cars at the north end of the park, put Tiki Twirl and Troika there.  Might as well tear down the Ballroom, since they removed the classic arcade I don't think it serves any value, and put Dodgem and the Ferris Wheel there.  While we're at it, let's just tear down the entire Frontier Trail area...who needs trees and a bunch of stupid culture with lame shops no one cares about? /sarcasm

Seriously, I'm all in favor of the idea of a beach bar/restaurant.

I don't want them to remove any history, but every ride in it's current location has been moved from another location after Wicked Twister was built. I have no clue what they're going to do, but I do see the ferris wheel being relocated freeing up a ton of potential space. I don't really see the dodgem moving, but who knows, Cedar Point has a way of relocating rides around that park that I've never seen before from another park.

I don't see them touching the frontier trail, I think the park is self aware enough to realize it's a necessity to have these calm and shaded areas. The area around Wicked Twister as it is, is not one of these areas as it's essentially surrounded by Gatekeeper anyways and concrete paths.

I'm all for a nice proper beach restaurant though! I also wouldn't mind a launch coaster of some sort around that area. Time will tell what happens, Cedar Point has always been one of those parks I'd swear one thing would happen (like demolishing Mean Streak) and then the thing gets the craziest RMC makeover I could of ever imagined. Cedar Point is interesting because it's the only park that I've been to that every employee, visitor, etc is a self proclaimed "Coaster Enthusiast", and I hear everyone complaining about the "GP" obnoxiously by every other person in line... and they don't see the irony which is quite funny if you ask me. It's kind of turned into this weird atmosphere that I haven't experienced anywhere else. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing honestly, but the point is the park knows it's audience well.

^ Little off-topic but I just noticed your avatar picture. I always forget that there used to be a Chaos ride at Cedar Point. I always seem to just miss those rides. The only one in the UK I skipped over for another park and the one at CP was gone by the time I visited.

Wait I am confused, MaxAir opened many years ago and I was there. The ride is solid, high capacity, and everything Six Flags wished they were getting with the Zamperla models. Am I missing something other than people thinking it is prime real estate? If MaxAir is ready to go then lolololol all those Zamperlas will be gone like disposable cameras.

People are probably just assuming it’s leaving because of its absolutely awful maintenance issues.

Also It seems like not many new Huss rides get built but a few disappearing over past few years.  Lots of enterprises and top spins have disappeared. Only recent ride that comes to mind is the floorless top spin for Sea World Australia

Glad to see the love for Snake River Expedition. It's really well done, and really unique from anything else at Cedar Point. And it has an IMAScore soundtrack, so how can you go wrong?

Make it quiet enough that you can't actually hear it anywhere on the attraction or in the line? I definitely didn't hear anything besides the standard Cedar Point music (and Millennium Force).

This is also an issue at KI. Crank the volume up around Orion/in the station along with Mystic!

Anyone know anything about millennium force being closed?  Going in a couple days and have seen it listed as closed on queue tracking websites.

I believe somebody posted in the TPR Facebook group about it, saying there is an issue with the lift motor and/or cable. Hopefully it's up soon. Cedar Point is very diligent about fixing their rides ASAP but you also never know with rides like Millennium and Dragster.

per the cameras right now, MF is cycling.

I would bet good money they will not do anything else or give away free FL.

I am curious if the Prez Day sales will return like normal next year.

All of their parks are doing free FL but Cedar Point and Knott's (and some with BAF).  Some have more restrictions that others.  Seems intentional to me.

There are enough FL holders at CP as it is. The world doesn't need more. Step up and pay the price or wait in the 2 hour lines like the plebians you are.

I agree. Giving away free Fast Lanes seems like a bad deal for everyone - for the guests who didn’t buy it that day AND the guests who did spring for it that day, because you know most of the free ones are going to be used those horrendous Saturdays in October when I don’t know why anyone in their right mind would ever want to be there in the first place.
