prozach626 Posted June 2, 2020 Share Posted June 2, 2020 CP has regularly been in the habit of hanging banners on rides for their 45th or 35th anniversary, etc. But has rarely invested in a large ride for the sole purpose to celebrate their anniversary. To me the point of an anniversary is to celebrate the history of the item, park or event. Not to take away from that by constantly adding something new and large and unique. NEW: These places can reopen June 10 in Ohio.•Aquariums •Art galleries •Country clubs •Ice skating rinks •Indoor family entertainment centers •Indoor sports facilities •Laser tag facilities •Movie theaters (indoor) List does not include amusement parks like @KingsIslandPR. "Guidance is still being developed for those facilities," DeWine spokesman said. The press releases from the Cedar Fair parks today were a bit out of the ordinary, because you don't frequently see amusement parks directly advocate a position on a political process. It has no logical or scientific sense you can go to a zoo or movie theatre but can't spend the day at a Cedar Fair park in Ohio. "Republican lawmakers already tried to limit her powers before and failed. Last month, the Ohio Senate rejected their effort to limit Acton’s ability to issue stay-at-home orders to 14 days. They could only be extended if approved by a legislative oversight committee. DeWine also said he would veto the legislation if it reached his desk." ...and not about Amusement & Waterparks opening. It's to the point when they have played nice and I'm sure to point they have spent money to make it safe now please let us open. Sadly you have to look at this bigger than just cedar point. They won't say they need until to July to be ready, given how they were suing to be able to open immediately, and if they tell you to wear a mask you suck it up and do so, or don't go. Their business, their property, their rules, regardless of how silly one may find them. Edit: Given that Ohio does not have a "mask required for customers" rule as part of it's emergency orders, it will be entirely up to CF if they choose to follow that guidance or institute a more severe policy requiring them.
