My friend and I went 2 weeks ago, and although the forecast called for thunder storms it never came to fruition. Just rained off and on most of the day and the rides stayed open for the most part until there was a down pour for about 30 mins. No, you shouldn't "post pone". In-fact you should really shouldn't post anything, anywhere, of any kind. But actually the forecast looks fine. jonskinny12 Posted September 29, 2016 Share Posted September 29, 2016 On my trip to CP earlier this year, for my first day the forecast was saying rain most of the day for at least a week leading up to it. Even in the morning of my first day it still said there were going to be showers for most of the afternoon. It was sunny all day and we never felt a single rain drop. bill_s Posted September 29, 2016 Share Posted September 29, 2016 Taking a chance with rain and storms can be worth it for locals but may be too chancy for a long trip. But unless you're planning on fast pass, on a Saturday it's still probably better... unless you're mainly interested in Dragster. I went to my park 2 evenings close together with the exact same forecasts which were equally correct. I think it rained a little on one but was pleasant. The other there was a storm starting 1.5 hours from close, knocking out the entire visit. You never know... There was a storm the time I went to Hershey. I saw a nice show and if I'd gone on and took a short break and eaten without going to the suddenly-crowded Chocolate World, so I'd been waiting for the rides to open and got the best break in the crowds, it would have worked out as a big plus, since I needed to do some of that stuff anyway. Regarding Mean Streak, I'm rooting for a topper track conversion. Looking at Wildfire, Outlaw Run, and Lightning Rod, I don't think there is much they couldn't do with Topper Track that they do with the IBox track.
