Koasterking48
A dark ride in the old pirate building! Though the rumors are now saying it will be in the Colosseum building taking over the arcade and ballroom.
megametal
Awww. I love the arcade with all the old pinball machines. (The only arcade games I really love to play.) Hopefully if they do that, they move the arcade to the old pirate building or something.
Geauga Dog
I hope not. When it rains that arcade is one of the best places to hang out until the weather clears. I could see maybe using the upstairs ballroom if it's able to support a dark ride.
Yamez
I sincerely hope its not the arcade! That place is so much fun on rainy days
CpBluestreakCp
Hey everyone! I made a fun video of Cedar Point. It has some pretty cool shots and editing. Check it out. Youtube link is below http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaZB7WJIC54 Really enjoyed the video! I've never seen someone use slow motion really in any videos and it really helped capture the emotions of the riders, especially on TTD. Loved it really, hoping you make many more! The TTD launch was by far my favorite part of the video. Love the guy doing the Superman pose. Plus the girl next to him takes about 0.5 seconds to realize keeping her hands up in the front is a silly idea.

What kind of camera/camcorder do you use for these shots because the slow motion looks so perfect? I used the Sony Alpha NEX 6. Full 1080p HD at 60 frames per second. I edited on Premiere Pro CS5. It's a neat little camera with attachable lenses and has some internal features that are fun.

Midgetman82
I'm usually not very interested in general coaster videos, but I had to watch yours after seeing everyone's reactions to this. It really is excellent! Love how you use slow motion to stretch out scenes, removing the possibility of repeat footage like I see in some other coaster videos. Great job MilleniumCP! firewalk13
I have to say, your videos are great. Really thought the GateKeeper vid, and the "dueling gatekeepers" was very cool looking. please keep it up!

JonnyRCT3
^Well water expands when it freezes. It might be something to do with tides, IDK
jmicha
^^That's from March. It's definitely just ice still there from the winter. Ice forms on the lake pretty easily in the winter. Being shallow, Lake Erie drops and rises in temperature much quicker than its Great Lakes counterparts so ice is a pretty regular occurrence. djcoastermark
Growing up in northern Ohio near Lake Erie, I can testify that , yes, that is ice on the lake. There were times that, on my birthday in April, a foot of snow would fall. That is why, beatiful as the area may be, I now live in florida. I couldn't stand the cold anymore. I much prefer spending my winters riding coasters and spending a nice warm sunny day in march on the beach with a margarita. Still, that shot is pretty to look at. ECZenith
Photo Trip Report 6/17/13-6/21/13 Cedar Point, Sandusky, OH Just got back from an amazing three days at The Point. Jessica and I arrived Monday evening around 4 pm, after a 12 hour drive from Massachusetts. We checked into our room at the quaint Maples Motel in Sandusky, and took advantage of Starlight Admission for only $35.00. For our last day, we decided to get fastlane plus, and I highly recommend it if you want to see it all in one day. It is not yet the peak of the season but the park was quite crowded! Gatekeeper-6x (average wait time 30m-1h) This ride is pure eye candy, both off and on the ride. I noticed a lot of people "dogging" on the new wingrider, including CP employees. Do not expect a very intense coaster, but it is a lot of fun and it actually exceeded my expectations. Front row for best visuals, back row for bit more of an intense ride and two moments of gentle negative g's. My favorite memory from Gatekeeper was looking at the moon, upside down from the diving loop, perfect moment. Maverick-4x (average wait time 1h30m) Maverick was the only other coaster new to me and it was the surprise of the trip. It was intense, fast, and made some insane transitions. The tunnel was my favorite part! Millennium Force-2x (average wait time 1h) Top Thrill Dragster-2x (average wait time 1h30m) Wicked Twister-1x (average wait time 30m) Gemini-1x no wait Magnum XL-200-1x (average wait time 45m)-She's still got the stuff! Magnum for life! Iron Dragon-1x no wait Blue Streak-1x no wait Raptor-4x (average wait time 1h) Mantis-1x (average wait time 20m) Maxair-2x (average wait time 30m) Windseeker-2x(average wait time 15m)My first time on a Mondial Windseeker and I absolutely loved it! I also like the messages people leave in the sand on the beach 300 feet below: "Hello up there!" Troika-1x (I love all things Huss!) Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad-This and the skyride came in handy for getting around, I love the Boneville scenes! Skyride-Became our friend pretty quickly, awesome views, helps for getting around the park Power Tower-(Shot Tower)x1 (average wait time 20m) Skyhawk-The ride was down but they were testing one of the two arms Overall a great time at my favorite place, with my favorite person! 700 miles to Sandusky! Time to get excited! These Boneville scenes are great! Cedar Creek Mine Ride Rumor has it a new dark ride will occupy this building in 2014 Another view of the Coliseum Corkscrew CP Skyline at Twilight Hopping on the Judy K, shortcut to Maverick Fastlane+ was well worth it! Ferris Wheel Gatekeeper is great! My first wingrider, loved it. Sitting in the backseat gives you a slight floating sensation. Gatekeeper at sundown Gatekeeper's camelback Giant Flat Spin Keyhole x2 Gatekeeper has taken over the main entry plaza, everyone just stops to watch it perform Aerial view of B&M's fine new machine This is a great inversion, and it's taken quite fast Over the camelback at sunset The first drop gets things exciting quick I love the glowing eyes and LED lights on the sides of the train, but many of them aren't working already. :/ We rode the skyride at least 6 times in 3 days Mantis , yeah... Maverick is my new fave at CP! Twisted Horseshoe Roll CRAZY airtime! Here too! Go baby go! I'm a big HUSS fan Millennium Force Power Tower Raptor Raptor-Jess loved it! Always been my favorite B&M Invert Raptor We love the new entrance! Getting ready for Maverick at The Red Garter 10,000 horsepower launch Top Thrill Dragster Top Thrill Dragster Wicked Twister We heart Windseeker!!! Especially at night Beautiful! We ended our last night with Luminosity, thanks for checking out the photos!
B&MBoy1982
A lot of the wing lights weren't working on media day. Speaking of wings, look what I found in my deliveries from yesterday! Even though I am very familiar with the CoasterDynamix steel roller coaster modeling system, this photo is totally "squeeeee" worthy! Can't wait to get my hands on some new track, and some metal wheels!
ECZenith
^ I bought one of each of the statix models on my visit, was surprised to see a Gatekeeper train so I grabbed it, one for Maverick (bronze) Dragster (Red) and MF (yellow). DId they ever make one for Raptor?
B&MBoy1982
Yes, I have Raptor and Force. Still have to add Maverick and Dragster to my collection. I have: Kumba SheiKra Griffon Alpengiest Apollo's Chariot Talon Hydra Beast Diamondback Force Raptor Gatekeeper All of the B&M trains can run on the CoasterDynamix track system, but you must purchase the metal wheels from them. GigaG
My last trip to CP for the recent MF ride night brought some good news and bad news. Bad news - GateKeeper's lights may be worse. I gave the trains nicknames - "Whitey", "Failey", and "Winky". Explanations- "Whitey" has most of his white wing lights running than the others. Only two or so sets were out. (No glowing eyes.) "Failey" was the opposite - all but 2 or so sets of his wing lights were out. (No glowing eyes, but note that I am using "him" instead of "it"... am I getting too attached to Gatie - I mean GateKeeper? (Yes, I got the "Gatie" thing from some other enthusiast)) "Winky" had one eye on. As for his wing lights, every other row was on, except that the last two rows were both running. (As previously mentioned, only one eye running) I hope whatever money isn't being put into lights is going towards working on the restraints (all B&M wing coasters should need this, because all of them should have locking vests, right?) or fixing the slightly bumpy ride. That's another thing, my friend claims Griffon was butter-smooth, but GateKeeper is too bumpy (never been on Griffon to confirm this). He also says that GateKeeper's keyhole spotlights only shine blue now instead of other colors now. Are either of these true? Good news - Millennium "Forceless" isn't always forceless! Well, at least last night for ride night, it seemed to be running insanely quickly. More airtime, etc. That's the latest news!
