thomas2
Sorry for the quality of the photo's, there's something wrong with my camera. A video of Stunt Fall can be found here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28423 (Notice how extremely slow it goes through the cobra when it goes backwards) Okay so I went to Parque Warner on august 18, and that place is for me the best park I ever did. Here are my thoughts: Getting there: There are trains that ride from Madrid's Atocha station; they usually go every hour or so. You can buy the train ticket + the entrance to the park for just 33 euro's (so basically the train is free) in the station. The station where the park is (Parque de Ocio) is only a short walk from the entrance and there are signs everywhere. You need to switch trains in Pinto though. Staff: the staff was super-friendly. They talked to you, made some stupid moves to make you laugh, etc. The only bad thing I could find was that nobody spoke English... Theming: the park was overall very well themed. Only Stuntfall and Las Caratas Salvajes where poorly themed. Superman has, apart from the station and queu, also no theming: it’s built right in the desert! Wait times: I just couldn't believe my eyes in the stations. I didn't have to wait once! Every coaster had only one train in operation, but even that one couldn't be filled. There were mostly only 10 people or so in a train, which made the park fantastic for me. Seriously, the only wait I experienced was when someone threw up in Superman and the ops had to clean the seat and harnass (disguisting BTW) I rode Stuntfall 6 times in a row, Superman 10 times and Batman 3 times without even having to change seats. I love this park! Food: I ate a delicious sandwich and a large cola for only 5,50 euros. The food was good and the prices wasn't too high. Thumbs up for this! Rides: here are the rides I rode, with a little review for each one: Stuntfall: This coaster was basically the reason why I wanted to go to this park. It’s Europe’s only GIB, and the only one whose name isn’t Deja Vu. The entrance to the ride is in a dead end alley, a fairground-style sign confirmes that you’re almost there. Then you pass under a sort of arch and suddenly it’s in front of you: a huge coaster with heaven-piercing spikes. I anxiously got in the boring queu (no wait) and I went for the 6th car, inside seats (the front 2 and the last cars aren’t open to the public, a real shame Warner Bros.!) Too soon the gates opened and I got in the comfortable seats. They closed the harnasses and suddenly a really loud and irritating horn started to blow: the ride began. We got pulled backwards way faster than I could have ever imagined and kept going up. You really hang in your harnass and that’s a freaky feeling. Then we got to the top (which was not as high as I expected) and the train plunged in the depth. Then came the inversions which were taken smoothly, and up the second spike. The catchmechanisme of the second tower is really good, it’s not rough or anything. Plunge backwards and through the loop. The cobra element was taken at such a low speed that I feared we might valley. The low speed inversion also made me very sick. Back through the station and then another surprise that I dind’t know: you go back up the spike and then the mechanisme catches you and lowers you gently back in the station. What a ride, I loved it! This is definaltely one of my favourites for sure. Score: 9/10 Superman – La Atraccion de Acero: This B&M floorless pearl lies well hidden behind the facade of the Daily Planet, which serves as the entrance to the queu. The queu itself is very beautifull with a room with a statue of Superman in the middle, a recreation of the Daily Planet offices and an outdoor section. The queu wa again empty and we seated ourselfs in the front car. After some chatting with the ride ops (in very poor English) and we left. This ride has some inversions that I didn’t experienced before and I was quite surprised by the Immelman, zero-g and the corkscrews. Their’s plenty of airtime on the ride, with it’s hill instead of MCBR’s. What also surprised me were the helixes: they’re soo close to the ground! Score: 9/10 La Venganza De Enigma: The S&S triple tower can be seen from everywhere in the park. This was my first S&S so I didn’t knew what to expect from it. There was only one tower open; the one with the combo program. So after watching the other being blown up in the sky to a height of 100 metres, it was our turn. I was pretty scared when we where 2 metres above groundlevel and ready to be shot. The upwards launch was very nice, and the airtime on the top was a surprise. Too bad the rest of the ride sucked: meaningless drops and small launches… Score: 7.5/10 Batman – La Fuga: I was also anxious to ride this coaster since it’s famous for it’s intensity. The queu was very well themed: graffiti on the walls, scenery, etc. Too bad the room with the stairs is not themed only painted a ugly purple colour. Again no wait so we went straight to the front row. The ride itself is indeed intense but not too much like some say. Esspacially the 2 corkscrew seem to pull alot of G’s. But I must say the ride is better in the last row: you really get pulled trough the inversions and that’s very cool. Score: 8.5/10 Coaster Express: After hearing so much awfull things about this coaster I was a bit anxious to ride this one. Once again no wait, we took the front place. The lifthill is very fun. The ride itself is not very bad, but in some places really rough: I was scared the train may fall apart. The layout isn't spectacular with it's boring curves, but there are a few headchoppers that make the ride enjoyable. Score: 7/10 Tom y Jerry: Kiddie coaster, not really great. This was themed to food so that was good. It's train is very long and you only go one round so capacity-wise, it's good. One tip: Never ever go with 2 adultes in one car!!! Score: 7/10 ACME Factory: This was a true surprise: this ride is soo wet! It's not a traditional rapid rive with a wide canal and stuff. ACME Factory is very wild and wet. Really cool Score: 8.5/10 Rio Bravo: Again no wait: we took a boat for us. This ride has first a exciting part, then gently and then exciting again. Big surprise was the first drop but I'm not going to say what it does; you should look for yourself! What I can say is that I almost fell out of the boat Then you have a quite part where you go through a canyon and indian village. Quite boring. And then there's the big drop that completely soaked me. Very fun! Score: 8.5/10 Lex Luthor - Invertatron: a standard Top Spin with a beautifull queu. There where like always only 15 people on the ride. Score: 7.5/10 And now the photo's: Coaster express's empty station And there they are! Ready to be launched People on Enigma Other random theming... This is theming in Gotham City Looming... When leaving Superman you have to go through this cool shop which has a wide selection of Superman goodies. Yay!!! Action photo's. Look at all those empty seats! This is the outdoor part of the queu Superman stuff Random wall in Superman's queu Front row empty all day... Up the second spike Giant loop Hot coaster action Really impressive Station completely empty Stunt Fall's heaven-piercing spikes The park opened at 11 but the mainstreet was open at 10. There was alot of dancing and stuff, with all the Looney Tunes!

Marcus Sheen
Nice review! You were lucky of that the park was empty, now it fills. The photos, in spite of the quality they are very good, only a thing ... not went to Superman's viewing-point to do better photos? Glad to hear the park is getting busier - where is the viewing point for Superman? I never really seem to be able to get good photos of it, although I haven't actually tried very hard. Good trip report too, it's a great park.
thomas2
^There is a place hidden behind some trees were you can get a good view of Superman. I believe it's called 'Mirador' on the park map. Check out R&E video of Superman: the offride in the begin was filmed from that spot (I think) http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24280
