Mr. Ecksighting
Alright, so I read the first post and I read the locals FAQ; however, I still got a question. I mean, I know that it says to read all the way through the thread before posting, and I'm really sorry I didn't, but there are 70 pages before this. Â Anyways, my question is, for these bus rides and everything, are they made exclusively for those people who live by you guys [the Alvey's] because otherwise, it would appear you guys would be picking people up on the way, y'kno, and I just get this strong feeling that you guys don't do that. Â If that's the case though [where everyone part of the trip pretty much lives in California or nearby], then how exactly would someone from Michigan [like me] become part of the trip? Â What I seemed to understand from the locals frequently asked question deal was that one that lives locally to the destination of the trip is welcome to join all of you except that they don't get every perk included with traveling with all of you; however, it would appear, from the very same response that there ARE still SOME perks to joining the group without actually being part of the party. Â Or do I have this all wrong and am misconstruing it all? Â I apologize if you've already answered this question multiple times; and I apologize if this is just common sense, and I just don't know it. Â Â edit* Actually, I think I got some of my questions answered in the flyer. I'll be back for any additional questions and will leave the above for reference. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience. Â edit** So, just for my comfort, correct me if I'm wrong. Â If I lived in Michigan and I met everyone at the hotel and was accomodated into the party [although it appears there is very limited or no space left] I would still be paying $1900 - $2000 which would cover lodging, transportation, exclusive perks, etc, yes? Â And if I'm too poor to afford the package and decided to drive to one or more or all destinations from my Michigan home but still met you guys, I would still get some perks? Â edit*** Oh geez. I read the answer to the FAQ over and over again, and I finally got it. Unfortunately, it would appear my insufficient fundage will result in no perks; however, if I do catch you guys at cedar... HOLY GUACAMOLE that'd be major rockin'. [Pardon the slang. I read the rules. Unless there's more. =O ]
AJMouse
From all your edits it looks like you figured everything you needed to know out by now good for you. Â I was under the impression you thought that it was weird that you had to pay for your trip to Cincinatti, right? Â Anyway, the trip starts there. Everyone from all over the world can go to Cincinatti airport (and pay for their flights). Including plane-tickets into the total amount of money would be weird because well.. flying in from Amsterdam (like myself) is quite the bit more expensive than flying in from say Michigan ^^ Â So those are the two different costs you have: *Getting to Cincinatti airport *Paying for the trip (including hotels, food, tickets for the parks, busride etc.) Â If you ride to all those parks by yourself, you can meet up with the group (fun!) but you won't be getting the perks the group gets or anything. -- Just posting to make sure you had everything answered correctly
BarryH
^Also, if you stick with the group on the buses, the most fun can be had on the way to the parks. I know from the UK trips, we had a lot of fun on the buses. We chatted, watched DVDs, made fun of people, saw interesting sites, and other things. If you did travel on your own and took the same route, you'll probably end up spending the same amount of $ as the packaged trip costs.
downunder
Just out of curiousity how many spots are left on the midwest tour now that deposit d-day has passed?  Barry H wrote: made fun of people  Fun, unless you are the one being made fun of. BarryH
^^Believe me, I've been on the end of being "made fun of." I know Robb has been on that end too! I used to get upset by it, but I've learned to just laugh it off. It's all good-natured fun. You can't be on TPR and not be picked on at least once! Gnome
Still right around 10 spots open for the Midwest Tour! What is the absolute latest money can be sent in for that trip? I'm almost positive that if I don't have the money in May, if I'm allowed to pay towards the end of June, I'd be able to make the full payment. PeoplemoverMatt
I might be in the same position as Gnome. The only way I could afford the trip would be with graduation money, and I don't graduate until May 11. I would be interested in going seeing as I've never been to the Midwest...ever. Downside would be that I probably won't know anyone else going on the trip. Â But I s'pose I should be happy that it's that early, being a graduation and all. downunder
I think I stuffed up my paypal and might have come up around $2.50 short of the $1200.00 after fees, should I hold off sending more money until you are settled in with Kidtums? Â I have someone else who is considering going but they want to know if anyone is heading to Six Flags New England and Great Adventure after they could get together with. I'm not on the midwest board yet so I can't check.
PKI Jizzman
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I read alot and got tired.  OK, so is there a set date for when you guys are coming to Kings Island?  Ex: Cedar Point - August 5th GL - Aug. 6th Kings Island - Aug. 7th   Thanks, and really looking foreward to meeting up with you guys! And that's just the start.  It comes out to roughly $200 per day.  That's a good value if you add up the average park admission, hotel stay, car rental, meal, etc.  --Robb
benzo41190
can you guys offer any help with flights for the trips. Sort of like, there would be different groups of people that would fly from the same airport or something like that. Â Example- a few people can meet up with each other in Chicago exc. Â Flying with other people is always better, and can be safer, then flying alone.

benzo41190
I would only do this if I could find cheap airfare. But the only thing I could find was $2500 round trip. And that is for 4 days in Europe! Â Since you travel more then I do, is there an alternative that I can use? Is this a normal ticket price or can I do much better? Â Â ...Also, the flyer doesn't work for me. The text is covered by a gray box that isn't transparent and cant be moved.
SharkTums
You can find way cheaper airfare than $2500. Â Do you have a good version of Acrobat? No one else has reported problems with the flyer. Â And yeah, I just checked real fast and found flights for around $1100 that would work for you.
benzo41190
I don't want to bother you but would you be able to send me some information through E-Mail? v_battery@yahoo.com  I have never planned my own flight before, and I looked around but couldn't find any deals.  Also, I fixed the flyer issue!
