Erik Johnson
Walt Disney World's off-season started today so we decided to go down to Orlando for a few hours. Why not? We have not been down to those parks since last April. Anyways, onto the pictures. It was so awesome that they were running two trams right after park closing... Time to catch a parking lot tram. Shhhhhh....these chairs are trying to get some sleep. We were on one of the last trains of the day, this is what EE looks like when it is closed. EE through the bushes/trees. Yes, that is the 1st lift hill. Our third and final ride was in the front row. For some reason they closed off the 2nd car of each train. "Ha ha, I am leaving you for the Yeti!" I guess she likes forces on her coaster rides, because she picked the last car of the train. We spotted Christy Brinkley and her V.I.P. group while waiting for our 2nd ride. The 2nd lift's train catch is not as jarring as it used to be. That is a good thing. Weeeee....coasters are fun. Just by the wear on the lap bar, you can tell EE was the big hit of the year. Yep, that is steam you see. Yeah, its open again. It has been a while since we ate Mickey Mouse ice cream bars. Leanne was safe becuase she was wearing a Disney shirt. "How dare you wear a Six Flags shirt in my attraction.....Grrrraaaaaoooowlllll!!!" Ok, we are giving you a second chance. Yeah, its the rodents. We were in need of a coaster fix so we had to settle for this one. It is not open yet, I think late Fall. Yeah, it is the new Nemo Musical Building that flattened Tarzan. They have just about earned enough money to buy a new tire. The CMs were nice enough to give us one of these. Stupid Vekoma ride. "Sorry people, the EE train is only an museum exhibit right now. Please use the right side exit." Three cheers for Vekoma! Yeah, the museum tells the truth about Vekoma. So far there have been 4523 pictures of EE's poo exhibit. This one makes 4524. Make fun of my credits will ya! Grrrrooowwwwwllllllll! It sure looks like the Yeti has a couple of credits. Hee hee, it is a Yeti. I found some patches for my ultra cool jacket. At least they do supply a bed for when you get tired of standing in line. EE's theming totally rocks! Awwww...they closed off the 10 minute tea garden queue tour. At least the rest of EE's theming seemed to survive the summer months. Bells of Death If you get your money in the goblet you win by receiving a revelation that you just wasted your money. It seems that Disney found itself another cash cow. Expedition Everest had a lot of problems today (the train kept stopping on the lift hill), stupid Vekoma. The wait was around 30 minutes, but I guess they covered up the sign for the 2 hour summer waits. Poor missing EE theming... This is the last photo of this kid taken. Soon after, the Yeti found out he desecrated his temple. So we had to start here. Well, this is what happens when you get to the park mid-afternoon. Make sure you make an offering before visiting the beer swiping Yeti. Since the seas of humanity are now gone, some of the animals made an apperance. Yep, it certainly is the off-season.....Yahooo! A cast member said as Leanne walked through, "Way to Go Princess." Tram rides are fun. Someone is breaking the rules.

Erik Johnson
Ok, I guess I should finish up this Photo: TR by adding the Magic Kingdom pictures. The main reason for this visit was to ride the "enhanced" Pirates of the Carribean. It is pretty much the same ride as before but they added some elements from the recent movies. Overall we think it was a good decision. The three Jack Sparrows they have added to the ride were very lifelike. Anyways onto the pictures: Well, it is time to head back home. I hope you enjoyed it! Silly Brer Bear. We got to stay on the ride for a second time so we can watch the parade. Though we did not get as wet as our ride back in March. Splash Mountain is back to its opening year glory, and that is a great thing!! While you can not see him here, the jumping Brer Rabbit is back working again.... Other than the soaking water jets of doom at its lowest setting, Spash Mountain's effects were running really great. Returning to Splash Mountain. We had back to back Big Thunder rides, there was no wait in the station. We did like the noodle bowls, but I am not really sure if it ever caught on. It seems that they turned it into a $28.99 buffet. Uh oh, what have they done to our noodle resturaunt. I am glad to see that Stitch is still bringing in the big crowds. This actually was closer to a 40 minute wait. So we took a train ride over to the otherside of the park. We decided to get a fast pass for this one since the line was a 40 minute wait. Leanne is happy to see Johnny Depp. The really means that it is a walk-on. Yes, they have added a few things in the front of the ride. We ended up passing on brain freezes today. Sorry Derek. This is always a familiar picture. See, they kidnapped and bolted Johnny Depp down in the ride. Yes, some enhancements have been made to the old Pirate ride this year. Dueling monorails are always cool. Yes, the prices have increased. I am glad they have these posts that you can use to stretch out your back while waiting for the tram. Yep, back to the Magic Kingdom.

mcjaco
Man, I am counting the days until our trip in October..... Â Great TPR, Erik. Was Leanne trying to stretch her back or, see of she could knock the pole over???
dandaman
And here I was afraid PotC would be a lot more crowded with the new additions, even in off-season. Back to its old self! Â Thanks again. Gotta try a Dole Whip next Sunday.
RCTfan
Actually, those signs you saw missing at Everest were slowly removed for auction. They auctioned them off for charity. So, people didn't distroy them.
disneyfan1313
Hey Eric! Â Glad to see you had fun at WDW - just a couple of notes. -The dinner buffet at Tomorowland Terrace is a temporary addition to handle the overflow crowds from the free dining promotion. There is no need to worry about the noodle bowls never coming back.. -Believe it or not the water jets on Splash are not adjustable.. they are "Off" or "On"...luck of the draw beyond that.
