No this is the first year it's doing this, pretty scary I think it's broken lol what I'm I to say
PhantomPoster32
Back at the park today my off day the coke machines aren't there anymore by the amphitheater. That's because it was the "Share A Coke" promotion tour and not "new machines"
madsencarson
I totally agree with Garyman. I don't see what the big deal is. Why can't we speculate about future attractions without being told we are wrong or a bunch of high hoped fools? This thread would get super boring if we didn't speculate about anything. I am very satisfied with how active this thread has gotten, it felt just like yesterday that we only had 100 pages. I think we all know that everything we speculate about is not going to come true, but if we can't speculate at all then what is the point? Just my 2 cents. PhantomPoster32
If I had to guess, it's because the foamer posts bury any actual news that might have been posted in the thread.
ariznglori
Plenty of news gets posted to this thread. The dearth you're feeling lately is because there just isn't that much right now. We're waiting to see what becomes of the new perimeter road plans (which is obviously a huge deal), and any announcements for Valleyfair come in late August I believe...if reading about speculation in the meantime bothers you, then it's best to probably ignore this forum until then. But if people want to talk about Valleyfair in the meantime, isn't that what this forum is for?
thecoasterlead
EVERYONE stopping petty fighting! It's a damn forum on Theme Park Review, if someone's unhappy with it go to the admin and complain! NEW TOPIC! What elements would you like to see in an invert ot wing what would be coming to the park, where would you like it?
kcurry11
What elements would you like to see in an invert ot wing what would be coming to the park, where would you like it? You would have to put it in the back, there is so little going on. I'd love to see a smaller, more intense version of the Banshee batwing, where the first track crosses over the second going in and coming out. As for a wing, I'd love to see the Demonic Knot from Flug der Dämonen. It is just such an interesting element.
danderson83
I would like to see it incorporate an Immelmann Loop, a Zero-G roll, and a Batwing. I think those three all in an invert or winged coaster would be awesome. As for location, I would have to say back of the park, though I am a fan of the new style coaster/entrance configuration. I think you get bigger curb appeal putting it in the front.
danderson83
... And for all the complaining over speculating versus fact reporting. This is meant to be a fun place to talk about we all hope/like/dream about seeing at VF. We all know most of our thoughts are just speculation or dreaming, but it is fun to read and see what other people have for ideas with new coasters and rides. VF will do what is in their best business interest, and we all know that too. Now, lets get back to the fun of dreaming and speculating on Valley Fair's next coaster
CaptainUnknown
For those wondering why Renegade has only been running one train lately--even on Saturdays, it's because there's a problem with the other train/lift/operating system I can't remember which. I can assure you that the ride ops don't like the slow operations either.
VF15
If VF was to get an invert, I would like to see it have a vertical loop, zero-g roll, batwing, corkscrew, and an intense helix near the end. They should put it in the back of the park near Thunder Canyon and the soon-to-be parking lot because they need better attractions in that area. I'm not so sure they should get a wing coaster though because it seems like most people want VF's next coaster to be something intense. I've ridden X-Flight and Gatekeeper, and while they're both fun rides, if you're looking for nonstop wham-bam intensity, you'll probably be disappointed, although I'd take a wing coaster if we got one since beggars can't be choosers. Fidelity
For those wondering why Renegade has only been running one train lately--even on Saturdays, it's because there's a problem with the other train/lift/operating system I can't remember which. I can assure you that the ride ops don't like the slow operations either. Thanks for that. Only once in my six visits has it had two train operations and, being that its capacity is already low, it hurts when one is shelved. Hope they can get it working soon, because it is, IMHO, the park's best ride.
ACES
If Renegade is having issues with the train/lift/operations will GCI come back here during this upcoming off season? I was on if for a hour this morning they had train one running is train two having mechanical issues? Renegade was running fine this morning opened right at 10am. I think the inverted should go in the back of the park they do need to develope that area. And when dinasours alive contract is up I think that's were a wing coaster could go there you have two B&Ms front of the park wing coaster take out a few parking spots use the dinasours alive land area and back of the park inverted anyone like that idea? And don't forget the CEO said all Cedar Fair parks will be getting a new dark ride location for that would be were the amphitheater currently sits I think it's going to be sooner or later before the amphitheater gets torn down for dark ride? They need to do something there when was the last time it was open Johnny Holmes band use to play there a lot how long ago was that? One other locations for new coaster were the old pinic cove sits nothing but storage there you could put a Rocky Mountain coaster there and again here Iam speculating my self lol going out ideas and Garyman6 said Frazier, Cedar Fair and Valleyfair actually reads these forums? Maybe they will put some of these ideas or anyone's ideas on a drawing board for capital expansions. As for Soak City we all know there's going to be another water park expansion in the next couple of seasons.
CaptainUnknown
From what I've heard talking to Dinos Alive associates, Jurassic World and its monster success has had a negligible impact on the animatronic dinos we have. You'd think that those numbers would skyrocket. Ah well.
ACES
Both Extreme Swing and Wild Thing are open. Something I noticed while riding Rip Tide they drained out the water completely this time first time I've seen that this season the water pumps having problems? Can Rip Tide run a normal cycle with out the water on keep it open all day? It seems to have issues with the water pumps. Wild Thing down today Edited July 14, 2015 by ACES

Can Rip Tide run a normal cycle with out the water on keep it open all day? It seems to have issues with the water pumps. I've seen them run RipTide without the water on cold days, so they shouldn't have a problem with doing that now. On another note, I have a feeling the amphitheater might be on its way out sooner rather than later because I noticed a few markings on the ground near it earlier in the season, and from what I've heard, the Haunt maze that's usually right in front of the amphitheater is moving elsewhere in the park. I could be completely wrong though.

ACES
It's going to be sooner or later before the amphitheater gets torn down spot for the dark ride location just wondering would the have to re route the train tracks have it go around the dark ride and move the enterprise to make room for the dark ride and a new train station would be nice for the front of the park. (I'm just saying the amphitheater is the perfect spot for a dark ride I'm not trying to start rumors just speculating like everyone else). Eventually it will be gone right? Re route the train tracks for the dark ride go around it? Use the land were chaos and enterprise sits to make room for the dark ride? C.P.A.Guy
It's going to be sooner or later before the amphitheater gets torn down spot for the dark ride location... When you word a post like this I think people get the wrong idea. This post is worded as if this is fact that a dark ride is going there. This is not a fact, just speculation. Which don't get me wrong, speculation is perfectly fine so don't freak out on me. I just think people should watch how they word their posts. In this thread it seems that this is how all these "rumors" get started with people thinking they may actually be from a legitimate source. If you meant that you personally think the amphitheater would be a good spot for a dark ride, I agree. The blueprint is large enough to occupy a large dark ride building. I think that any new attraction that may go in the amphitheater spot is going to have to go along with some adjusting to the train station location and layout, which shouldn't be to hard. C.P.A.Guy
Not sure if anyone cares on this thread, but Minnesota River Valley Railroad is down for the rest of the year because the engine blew out. Could be a coincidence. Or it could just be a major breakdown.

garyman6
Screamscape has a posting of new track showing up at the B&M plant in Ohio. While I'll agree this is probably for the yet unannounced Dive Coaster at Cedar Point something else caught my attention. It's only mid July and there seems to be an lot of tract already and it doesn't all appear to me to be for the same coaster. I could be wrong but I find it interesting. Check out the photos for yourself and comment on your thoughts. I recently asked Mr. Frazier what the status was on the Army Corp of Engineers permit for a new access road, berm and new parking lot. He responded by saying that he couldn't/wouldn't tell me. It was an interesting response. Normally he would say something like we will see or its up for public objections right now. We should know what is going to happen within the next 2 months! Stay tuned!
