VFVSGirl16
I'm just curious to see what garyman6's speculation about Chef Luis is. I think VF is emphasizing Chef Luis to help advertise the park's food, and they need to make their food look more impressive since most park guests, myself included, think Valleyfair's food is overpriced and inferior to what you can get at most fast food restaurants (who likes paying six dollars for cold French fries?) Plus, they might be trying to emphasize him since the All-Seasoning dining plan (and all of the other dining plans) are around. Promotion of the foods department! I for one got an all-season dining plan, and I'm very excited to now write food reviews on my VF blog too (because I'm super lame like that )

garyman6
I dont have any theories, i just find it interesting. I think it's a smart move for Valleyfair! Although I do like the steak reference. The new coaster will be called the sirloin slayer! Lol!
garyman6
So I got to ride all the new slides this morning and I have to say I think they are the perfect fit for Valleyfair. My favorite of all of them are the two twisting drop ones you go so fast down and around the curves. The two straight down drop pods are complely different than the two blue ones surprisingly. I can't wait to ride them again when it is a little warmer out and not rainy and overcast Thanks for the report! Are the tall drop slides pretty smooth? dboor129
I try not to focus on eating when I'm at the park. The prices of those meals add up quick! I haven't been too impressed with the food the last few years. Last year, I had a hot dog from the food truck and then I had those cheese corn dogs (the stand by Riptide and Bumper Cars) and they were both still cold when I got them served to me. I thought maybe the employee's were kind of new and still trying to figure things out. But all in all, the food just gets spendy. Although, at Cedar Point last year I had the crab fries at Chickie & Petes which were amazing so I will have to try some at Valleyfair this year. Is the all season dining plan really worth it? GCI Wooden
Is the all season dining plan really worth it? It think it pays off in about 4-5 meals.
Mossed
Is the all season dining plan really worth it? It think it pays off in about 4-5 meals. When I process my Platinum pass, can I do the Meal Plan add on?
VF15
^ I believe so, you'll just pay the difference of the platinum pass and the dining add-on. Only two weeks left until Valleyfair opens . Who else is going to the park on Opening Weekend?

Who else is going to the park on Opening Weekend? I definitely am! I'm hoping to go opening day, and I'll be there for the 1 mile fun-run for Run and Ride! So glad the offseason is almost over!! I can't wait to see what this season holds in store, and I can start writing on my blog again!
GCI Wooden
Only two weeks left until Valleyfair opens . Who else is going to the park on Opening Weekend? I'll be helping out with Run and Ride Race on May 17th (10K and Half Marathon day). If anyone is running one of those races, you might see me! I'll be an aid station volunteer. When I process my Platinum pass, can I do the Meal Plan add on? You can get a Platinum Pass and All Season Dining plan for $327. Go to the park's website to get that. _koppen
I actually think this new slide complex they have built looks like one of the best, if not the best, speed slide complex in the world!
dboor129
Nah, but I will most likely be going to SFGAm. If its your first time, be prepared for a 2+ hour wait on Goliath, totally worth the wait though!

djoles
The first phase was the wave pool, the second is the new slides. Not smoking dip and dots, that is the current plan, it's not written in stone but it comes from someone in the know in the physical plant.
VF15
^^ Yes, it's called the Flash Pass. Considering the very long lines SFGAm gets during the summer, it would definitely be a worthwhile investment. If you don't end up getting a Flash Pass, Goliath does have a single rider line if you don't mind being assigned a seat (cut the 3-hour wait into only 45 minutes for me). Snowyowl1028
^I was looking for more info, as I don't know how a flash pass works and also why spend your time looking that up? What's in it for you? Just kind of pathetic.
Password121
^What? If you want to find more info about the Flash Pass, I think you can navigate the SF site for yourself. I don't need to do that for you. https://www.sixflags.com/greatamerica
cfc
Both of you just relax, please. While I agree that Snowyowl1028 could've very easily looked this up on his own, let's not have a silly Internet argument over it. And let's remember that this is the Valleyfair Discussion Thread. Please stay on topic. Edited May 3, 2015 by cfc
Coaster Curt
I will be going on the 16th! I'm so excited! Anyone else venturing off to any other Cedar Fair parks this summer? I'm most likely going to CP and KI! May 13th I will be at Kings Island and May 14/15 at Cedar Point . We are shooting for 50 coaster rides per day for a total of 150 for the three days, it is going to be a ton of fun!!
ariznglori
I would like to see spinning teacups returned to Valleyfair. It's such a basic thing, but I ride them at any park that has them. I understand that the park did have them years ago, but I don't know how long ago that was.
