Snowyowl1028
I find WIld thing to be extremely boring, It may not be among the most thrilling of coasters, but if you find a hyper coaster "extremely boring" you should find a new hobby.
grsupercity
Its smooth and fast, and the first drop is fun. The figure 8 lacks any luster and the camel backs on the return meander through the course. It was a solid addition to the park when it opened. I dont hate it. I love roller coasters like there is no tomorrow. Thats why i travel to different parks to ride everything. Just because Wild Thing didn't wow me doesn't mean I need a new hobby. Hyper doesn't mean anything regardless. Height doesn't make a ride. Maverick and LR are two of my fav rides and there only 100 feet tall. Batman the ride clones are small and some of the most force full fun coasters around. I didn't mean to mock Wild thing, because it a nice solid coaster. I was just saying that even though its not in my top coasters I would easily take it over the murderous Magnum! .
RCjunkie
^ Just curious, if you call Magnum 'murderous' what do you call Mean Streak then?
ACES
I just got a feeling Valleyfair is next for a full circut B&M inverted coaster. Also what if Valleyfair decides to get the inverted coaster for 2016 and maybe four years later add a new B&M wing coaster I would love to see two B&M coasters at Valleyfair. Mean Streak didnt kill my legs like Magnum does everytime lol. I enjoyed Magnum, just the lapbars are horrible on my legs
ariznglori
Wing coasters are even more of a letdown than a Morgan hyper. Valleyfair does not need another coaster like that. Sure they're stunning to watch, but as a ride experience, they're a yawn. I could see a 4d like Batman at SFFT at Valleyfair easily though! VF15
^ Yep, B&M wing coasters are fun, but unfortunately not very forceful. I'd take a wing coaster over a rough Vekoma any day of the week, but let's hope that whatever the next coaster is has some decent forces. I would also be excited if Valleyfair got an S&S Free-Spin because those drops look awesome, though I don't think it's the most likely option. CaptainUnknown
^I get a feeling that our next big attraction will be either of those (after the B&M invert and Soak City phase 2 of course).

I've ridden gatekeeper, and found it an enjoyable ride. I suppose if we want to over analyze it, it isn't the most forceful, or the fastest, or the tallest, nor has the most inversions ... but I think the General Public would find it a fun/exciting/unique ride compared to VFs other coasters. I would like to see first a B&M invert, and then I kind of hope VFs second new coaster is a B&M winged coaster. (Just my .02).
ariznglori
I think we'd wind up with something on the scale of X-Flight, which is disappointing. Even the GP was "meh" about it. But then they were used to the great coasters at SFGA.

The launch makes the ride super enjoyable, i believe there are a few inversions on that ride too. FOF would be the only dark ride I would like to see at VF, it is my favorite dark ride I have been on. I was surprised at how fun it was compared to most dark rides. And yes it does have an inversion. It is actually a downward barrel roll for the inversion which shocked me the first time I rode because it only has lap bars. I was just not expecting an inversion without shoulder restraints.

Sure they're stunning to watch, but as a ride experience, they're a yawn. I feel the same way. I think we'd wind up with something on the scale of X-Flight, which is disappointing. Even the GP was "meh" about it. But then they were used to the great coasters at SFGA. This is my fear if VF gets the budget for a B&M that they would get a Winged coaster just like X-Flight. My feeling is if you please the hard core enthusiast (ie. Invert or Floorless) then you should be able to please or blow away the GP so why not go that route if you are going to spend that kind of cash? SFGA can have Winged coaster in their line up because they have other thrilling coasters to fill that experience. VF, not so much. Yep, B&M wing coasters are fun, but unfortunately not very forceful. I'd take a wing coaster over a rough Vekoma any day of the week, but let's hope that whatever the next coaster is has some decent forces. In the end I would take a Winged coaster over a Vekoma too. I also think an S&S Free-Spin could fit in easily at VF and be a hit. It would be nice for VF to get a coaster so we could start to speculate/complain about what type of flat the park needs to add.
dippindotsguy8
My vote also goes to S&S freespin for what I'd love to see at the park. It's something relatively unique that would be a hit with everybody, and use up minimal space. It'd fit nicely near Chaos's old spot, actually. An S&S Freespin is pretty much a wing coaster except the trains flip you around so I'm not really sure what to think about your post.

Snowyowl1028
The old sign was classic and fine the way it was. The new sign is a meh. I like the look of the new sign but I like the old one for its history. I bet the new sign will grow on me, I can already see it.
