TexTitan01
I think this may be verbatim, but Hersheypark has the best chocolate, ice cream, & cookies I've had in awhile. As far as other food, Gator McGee's Mountain Grill (Six Flags Over Texas) has some of the best burgers in probably the SFI chain. Especially the swamp burger...oh mama! Grannys Funnel Cakes in the same park has good funnel cakes as well, you can put on as much of whatever as you like. Aways a hit with me.
robbalvey
Although I agree it is not as good as it was four years ago, it is still very good. Restaurants have to adapt to what their customers want, and often have to change their menus. When someones favorite gets taken off of the menu, the restaurant quickly falls out of favor. I do understand restaurants having to adapt (remember I worked at Disney restaurants for 4 years in my theme park career) and I'm not so sure it's because of someone's favorites being taken off the menu (my favorite Balsamic Chicken was removed YEARS ago) because I've been trying differet things almost every time I visit, but there certainly has been a difference in quality. The meals they used to serve there were "stand out" in every way possible: quality, presentation, variety. Now, they seem average at best. And perhaps that's what the guests now want, but it just seems that most people we talk to (and not your die-hard park enthusaists) have also noticed the change, and instead opt for a turkey leg and fries, and then head over to a Disney Resort for dinner. That's just my take on it.... --Robb "And you can certainly sense the common pattern here in the responses." Alvey
DWCF47
The Crown Colony Restaurant at Bush Gardens in Tampa is a wonderful Old South Family Dining experience. I have taken my in-laws, my friends, my kids and my twin nieces, all of which found something satisfying and well priced. No gourmet fare here, but good solid value with a view of the Giraffes and other wild animals. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, etc. with a great view and even a piano player for ambience! sixflagscoasters
Who has the best Hot Dogs???? I had the one in DC Superhero Adventure's Good vs. Evil Cafe (I think thats what its called) @ Six Flags New England, and it was good. But I have not been to many parks and SFNE is the only park that I had a good hot dog at, if I remember correctly. What do you think????
gmoney422
Everyone would have to agree that Cedar Point has the best cotton candy...I mean it's only $.25!!! I'm sure all Six Flags have these, but I love their Butterfly Fries! I think that's a pretty cool take on ordinary "french fried purtaters...mmm hmm..." SFNE does have decent hot dogs, but if you go to Captain Rivi's across from The Looney Toons Emporium, you sometimes can get a "built it yourself" hot dog. (meaning the hot dog isn't in the bun, you gotta put it in yourself)

KaliGirl
I'm a simple food person. The hot dogs at DCA are awesome, as well as the cheesecake at Stoyteller's Cafe in the Grand Californian.

Mythos' menu has become rather bland. Even still, i go there for the aesthetics of the building itself; the food is almost an accessory. I do miss some of the old dishes, but even still going to IOA without going to Mythos would feel wrong. Food wise, my favorite restaurant in both USF parks is Finnegan's. The looks are nothing special, typical Bennigan's visuals, but any park restaurant that serves corned beef and cabbage as well as bread with apple butter is a great place to go. That being said, my absolute favorite park restaurant is probably the Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom. You get to gorge yourself on a huge spread of Thanksgiving style food, while surrounded by characters. It's not cheap, but for all the food you get, especially within the confines of a theme park, the price isn't too bad. My top two snacks are also at Disney parks: Pineapple Floats in MK, and chocolate covered frozen bananas in all the other WDW parks (unfortunately MK doesn't have them). scruffy
Kings Island has the best funnel cakes. The castle in the magic kingdom at Walt Disney World has the best food.
Guest
Best breakfast buffet : Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom (WDW). Not sure if they still offer the "dine with the characters" thing or not, but that was a great option for the kids when we went once. The food is also a good selection of typical breakfast fare. Oh yeah, I did that once. It's cool how you get to come into the park before it opens. And if it ends soon enough you can get on all the rides just before everyone ealse does. ParkTrips
To someone who mentioned it - SFNE has some great buffalo chicken fingers. Best elephant ears- Cedar Point oh yea, I agree! - Joe, wait, did I just compliment Cedar Point
Spenceman01
If you go to WDWs Magic Kingdom or Disneyland, you have to try a Dole Whip or float. yum! Its well worth the brain freeze! I wholeheartedly agree. I tried one (a float) for the first time on my last trip and it was great. The sweet pineapple soft serve contrasting with the tart pinapple juice is so tasty! dandaman
My theme park "credits" are few and far between, so this might be kinda biased. Best Restaurant Dancers: Johnny Rockets Best Hot Dogs: Casey's Corner,Magic Kingdom Best Steak: Le Cellier, Canada, World Showcase, Epcot Best Family-Style Dining: Ohana's, Polynesian Resort, WDW Best Mashed Potatoes: Chef Mickey's, Contemporary Resort, WDW (seriously, parmesan mashed potatoes rule) Best Dessert: Superbowl Sundae, ESPN Club, Boardwalk Resort, WDW ($19 of tooth-melting goodness ) Note: The above might change when I try a Dole Whip in just over two weeks. rollercoastermike
i think santa cruz beach boardwalk has best funnel cakes, plus the atmosphere when you eat them is (i'm gonna guess) better than a theme park inside a fence if you know what i mean. also best deep fried twinkies and oreos for SCBB! Token Yankee Guy
Another thing I can think of for good park food is the Kettle Corn at Six Flags New England. They make it right on site and I recall it being very delicious.

margotv
So I'll add a few things that come to my mind: Best Pizza - Knoebel's Knoebel's Grove in PA has just about the best of everything; they have more varied options than anywhere else AND the prices are non-insane. Some favorites (*besides* the pizza) - Superior ice cream and sundaes at the "mill" the "tri-tater" (triangular tater-tot thingie - near the mill) Excellent roasted chicken dinner with all the fixins Their "international food court" has decent Mexican, awesome Southern fried chicken (don't know why this classifies as "international") along with lots of solid local stuff like sausages. They also have excellent fudge. OH - and the Italian ice ain't bad either! The food network people have just *got* to go there. (ok, I *like* Knoebels - and for the record, although it is my "local" place, I have been to many others, so it really does stand up to comparison!) The one thing they do not excel at is an actual sit-down restaurant. For that, I'd have to go with WDW - Brown Derby (really good food! Particularly if you have "lunch with an imagineer"); we are also fond of the Moroccan place (name escapes me) at Epcot.
cfc
I'd like to put in a plug for the baby back ribs at BGE here--they also have excellent carrot cake (Food Network should definitely check out Busch's bakery). My favorite at Disneyland used to be the monte cristo sandwiches at the Blue Bayou, but I haven't had one of those in years. Can you still get'em? Rollercoaster Geek
The Park that has the park has the best food period is Knott's! - If you go to Knott's Berry Farm park, you HAVE to try their Funnel Cake!!! - My favorite "theme park restaurant" is Knott's Chicken Resturant!
