OldJJman
Oh, and Jow's post containing all the bus crash pictures is still joint first in my list of best TPR posts EVER, that was hysterical. For the record Jow, there were half a dozen of us sat around a laptop in the bar at Blackpool laughing over that for at least five minutes. Â I concur! That was the funniest things we probably saw on the whole trip!! Â At least tied with "Casey, Tackle Ryan!" Â Â I actually miss Ryan. I need therapy!! CoasterFanatic
And, Lou, at least people know who you are for the most part. The first time I met up with Ted, I was sitting in the bar at the Knott's Hotel with Wally and he was looking at me like "Who the hell is this dude."  Only because you were drinking a FooFoo drink. If you had a beer in your hand I would have caught it immediately  Glad to see you in the crazy international travelers thread, Justin.
CaseyFish
LMAO Larry. Funny stuff...wilt chamberlin...ahahahaha....  Who was up till four in the morning watching WWE payperview at alton towers.....hmmm I wonder, oh yeah that was me. And I even got them to keep the bar open till 4 in the morning...sweet:)  Honestly it all comes down to this. If you love coasters, what to go on a "TOUR" just do it. Have a great time. It's what I did and I made some friends and great memories along the way. I also got fangirls:)  Casey  PS. Yes the Larry you are right the girl who spit on me is not a fangirl! Thanks for pointing that out.
thomas2
Hi all. I'd really like to come but I'm still trying to convince my parents. I will even speak some japanese then so that should become funny. I also would love to ride SD2K. I've just got 2 questions: Â 1) When does the bus leave at Narita Airport and what should I do if my plain arrives with delay or something? Â 2) When in the park: do we like do everything together or can we wander of by ourselfs in the park?
derwood
I bribed Lou with chili and dew to let me hang out with her. It worked. Â I had a blast on the UK trip. Hoping to make Spain and Japan. Â Â Â Â d
Meteornotes
I want to hang out with the guy who wore a DreamTheater shirt on one the trips. Mt husband loves that group and said that anybody who likes DreamTheater must be an intelligent person and knows that they would take care of me on the trip! Â That would be me. Most of the rest of these people have no concept of what good music is! Â To add to what others have said, anyone that goes on one of these trips will have a good time. I will yammer like a madman online, but tend not to talk a lot to people I don't know initailly, as not everyone gets my sense of humor (I freaked out someone on the UK trip about five minutes after I got there by making a joke about porn and explosions). I've travelled a lot with Robb & Elissa, Derek and Dan, and have been to parks with JJ a few times, but didn't know a lot of the other people on the trip. I had talked to some folks on IRC or here on the site, and got to know some folks on the UK forum (I think the trivia contest really helped with this process!). I knew that Nicole would be someone that I would get along with, and she was, even if I did have to ask her if she wanted an axe buried into her skull at one point... But I ended up meeting and hanging out with people that I had never met like Casey, Rich, Tommy & James, and others. A "stranger" will quickly find that we all have the coaster thing in common, and it's pretty easy to hang out with people when everyone is having a good time, which is what you're going to be doing on one of these trips. Â I've found in life that not every person you meet is going to be someone that you'll be best buddies with. It happens. I learned a long time ago to not worry about it. Not everyone is going to get the Dave Experience. Yeah, there were different groups of people on the trip, but they seemed to change a lot, and everyone got along. I think that someone could go on one of these trips and not know anyone, and pretty quickly you'll find folks to hang out with and have a good time. There were some times during the trip that Mary and I would get separated from the group(s) and we'd just be on our own for awhile, which was also fine. I think Mary is the only person on the planet that can put up with my nonsense on a daily basis anyway, which I suppose is one of the reasons why I married her. Â If anyone signs up for a future trip, I really encourage you to hang out on the forum that will be set up for it. You'll get to know people before you all meet at a strange hotel somewhere, which is probably a good thing. Â And yes, anyone that wants to hang out with the intelligent Dream Theater fan (I'm printing out that quote and hanging it next to my monitor) in Spain and/or Japan, I'll be there... ChrisFL
I want to go to Japan very badly....any idea on any ballpark cost figure? I'd also have to factor in flying across country too!!
OldJJman
^ Reading is fundamental! Â Please do not ask us about price, parks, or other details yet as we just don't have enough confirmed. Â Ya know, besides being a BIT repetitive....n/m. Â Â This trip is going to be like a 5 star restaurant, if you have to ask the price, you probably can't afford it. ChrisZer0
I think they'll announce the prices later in the fall or winter, so its a good idea to start saving your loose change now
coaster05
Ballpark or not you are still asking about price. Just wait a month. the only point of this thread is to give you a chance to look at your calendars and see which trips are options.  Here is an example of what this thread is for:  Spain = YES  Midwest = Maybe  Japan = NO  That is all this thread is for. Not flight times, not cost, not ERT's.   Please stop driving R&E nuts as I need them to "show me the world".   Rich "one trip down and fanboy free" Bitner

robbalvey
I want to go to Japan very badly....any idea on any ballpark cost figure? I'd also have to factor in flying across country too!! Since people can't be bothered to read the thread, I will post this...AGAIN!!!!  EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS! SERIOUSLY...... We stated in the very first post:  Please do not ask us about price, parks, or other details yet as we just don't have enough confirmed.  If you can't be bothered to read the initial post, you will NOT be allowed on our trips! The initial post was to allow people who are serious about our trips, and are currently planning out their 2007 year, to have a good idea of the trip dates. It was NOT an open forum to start making broad suggestions for what coasters we should have ERT on, which parks we should visit, make assumptions of cost, etc.  We have been kind enough to answer all sorts of questions so far, but at the moment so many assumptions and questions are being made that we are spending more time answering pointless questions than ACTUALLY PLANING THE TRIPS!!!!  From this point on NO FURTHER QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED.  PLEASE WAIT FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS TO BE AVAILBLE LATER THIS MONTH. To be one of the first to recieve the flyers email us at: robbalvey@themeparkreview.com and we'll put you on our "TPR 2007 TRIPS" email list.  If anyone else asks another question about deposits, money, ERT, parks, I will seriously consider banning them.  Thanks for nuderstanding this difference.  --Robb

Electerik
So...every time someone asks about cost...should I link to it? You know, to help you out? thecoasterkid
I am SO in for the Japan trip! I've been planning it out for the last few months actually, want to stop in California on my way over to Tokyo. Â The cost, no matter what it is, isn't a problem, I'll pay whatever it takes. The only thing I'm worried about is being able to take 3 straight weeks off of work for the trip, but I'll find some way around that. Â This should be such an amazing trip...I can't wait already!
