Alpine Coaster Construction Photos

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!

While I was sitting at Jury Duty last week, my parents were touring around the west and made at stop at Park City, UT. There they checked out the 3rd Alpine Coaster in the US (and the longest) as it's supposed to open in a few weeks.

Here are some photos:

From the chairlift you can see how big this ride will be! I believe they said it's around 4000' long.

The coaster even has a nice net structure so you don't die if you fall off!

This thing is going to be great going in and out of the trees!

Park City also has a high speed zip line attraction that runs over the alpine coaster.

Yeah, still a lot of work going on. Too bad these were the only two guys doing anything!

Here you can see the 4 Lane Alpine Slide and the new Alpine Coaster. Right next to each other!

My parents didn't seem to think it looked like it would be ready by early August!

This is great news to those who live in that area because those rides are extremely fun. I rode the worlds longest in Austria last year and it was insane!! 3.5 kilometers (almost 11500 feet) long with arouns 70 turns I belive. The lateral G-forces were crazy!

Dang!! This sounds like fun and something I've always wanted to ride, but if you check their website, it's $17 for ONE RIDE!! It's $11 for the Alpine Slide and $19 for the ZipLine. One could go broke. That's $47 for 3 rides that might take you 30 mins total. You can get into a theme park for a whole day at that price.

My family has a house in Park City and I go there when ever I can. I rode it 4 times last summer and it was great, but then this past winter I waited an hour and a half because I loved it so much. It was really worth the wait. The bad thing about this ride is that it costs like 15 dollars a ride.

That is unfortunate but they did pay around 2 mill for the ride which set them back a bunch

Check out this video of this insane one in Europe (very top, righthand corner), if it's anything like this with all the sudden drops, bunny hillls and g-packed curves, might be worth $17.00!

1. The price has gone down considerably to 10 dollars

2. This ride also has this insane 70 degree 50 foot first drop thats awesome. The ride ride also has 2 helixes!
