CP_RULES
I am going to WOF on tuesday and my friend said the last time she went, Timber Wolf was down. Does anyone know if it was down for a small reason or if it will be open on tuesday? I would really like to know as I find this ride to be great fun despite the roughness. Any information at all would be great.
OzCatter
Depends, it has been closed usually from Mon-Thursday, and if it does open If it does open it probably won't open until 3:00 to 5:00.
steel
It's just being retracked, no big deal.
bigstevet07
That is a good thing that its being retracked. Its the only coaster I've had to sit down for a half hour after because of a headache.
CP_RULES
Good to hear its being re-tracked, but why do it in the middle of the season? I really hope it opens for a little tomorrow, I think its a great ride!
SharkTums
^Because Worlds of Not So Fun is just that awesome!!?!? Seriously. At a park that has like a 6 month off pretty mild off-season that's pretty pathetic. Although they already killed that ride a long time ago so I don't think it matters anymore! bigstevet07
Yeah ever since that girl unbuckled her selt belt like 10 years ago and was thrown out of the train and died, that ride has pretty much been a walk on all the time. The locals can't really stand that ride anymore. It would be one thing if it was really rough but still a great ride, but this thing is just so-so and a back breaker. steel
^ Walk-on all the time? I seem to remember waiting 15 minutes for Timber Wolf on a Thurs. when Kansas Citians were still in school. They've been retracking it since the end of last season. On top of that, Patriot was built over the off-season. They've been working hard on it for nearly a year. Also, there's still great airtime on Timber Wolf, especially in the front and back cars.
CP_RULES
^Finally someone who understands! TW really does have good airtime, and if you get past the fact that its (tolerable to me) rough, then its an all around great ride. I havent ridden all that many woodys (5), but TW is actually my top wooden.
steel
^I've ridden way more than five woodies, and TW is still in my top ten.
Homey G.
Timberwolf + night time + sprinklers on = tons o' fun
steel
^Night rides on Wolf are great, but the best ride of the day is the first ride of the day, when the sprinklers are still on and it's still fresh and smooth(er).
mikejafox
TW is still a great woodie, the retracking will really help it! BTW I was at WOF a few weeks ago and it was closed all day
errtyme
I'm over in Springfield, MO right now (for a little vacation) but doubt I'll get over to WOF; you'll have to post a TR telling me how Patriot is! As far as TW, eh..I can certainly see where at one time the ride was great, but not when I rode. Of course, I never get a ride before they butchered it...maybe that's my problem. CP_RULES
I went to WOF yesterday and it seems that TW has been retracked starting at the station, all the way to about halfway down the first drop. TW had a sign in front of it that said "This attraction will open later today" until about 3:30. Also, I would like to take back my comments that Patriot is forceless. Steel always told be that it was really fun and had forces and he was right. I rode Patriot 6 times yesterday...boy its a great ride!
steel
Finally, for the first time in my life, I'm RIGHT about something!!! Someone should email Dan!
Jive
TW hasn't even recieved much track work yet. A majority of what's been done has been structural. The bobs turn, the entrance to the helix and the turn heading into the brakes is about it. I've always enjoyed TW but I'm really looking forward to next year.
