Busch Gardens Europe has a beautiful, long train ride through the woods giving awesome views of all their coasters. On the same level is BGA's, which offers viewing of their animals, and unlike Animal Kingdom's train, actually takes you to important areas of the park.

I'm not sure if this counts, but for whats its worth, the train ride at Roaring Camp through the redwwod forest to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is easily the best train ride

They use modern desiel trains for the trip to the boardwalk, damn reliability

When I was little I would have tould you the Kings Island Railroad that had train robbers. Also I loved the Cincinnati Zoo Train one of the only rides left from when they had a theme park at the Zoo.

The best train ride that I have been was the Disneyland railroad.

Definitely Dollywood. They have full-size steam locomotives...no dinky little engines there. Plus, the train climbs a very steep grade...wonderful for any railfan!

Too bad they discontinued the "robbery"/gunfight show a few years back.

Busch Gardens Europe's train ride is nice as well. It snakes through the park's beautiful scenery, and has the two high bridges.

I'm partial to Hershey's Dry Gulch Railroad, but I've also always been big fan of Edaville Railroad. For those of you not familiar with it, it's an entire park in Carver, MA built around a narrow gauge (not necessarily miniature) train, albeit mainly geared toward families. No coasters, but still a great way to kill an afternoon, especially if you're into trains or train history. Plus, they have a few classic flats and a decent antique car museum.
