ConleyKE
Earlier this week my family and I took a trip to Cedar Point. Here's a quick report with my opinion of the place and stuff. I should have pictures up soon! Sunday: We left home around 11am and arrived at CP at like 4pm. This visit we decided to rent one of the cabins at Lighthouse Point. It was amazing! Yeah, it was one of the more expensive resorts at the point but it was well worth it. We ended up saving a lot of money on food by eating most of our meals at the cabin, which came complete with a fridge, microwave, and grill. The only downside was it's a long walk from the cabins to the back entrance by the water park, which we made the journey for almost every meal. That night we did the twighlight pass for Soak City. I tought this was great cause we got most everything there done in plenty of time. Plus, it's less crowded there at night. Overall the water park was good, and I like the old fashion feeling with no new slides (if you know what I mean). The weather was great, 90 degrees and sunny. Monday: This was the first of two days at the park. We started off going straight for MF, then up to Raptor, and did most of the front of the park before lunch. After the long hike both ways, we conquered the back side of the place. We ate dinner at the Chuck Wagon Inn, and it was amazingly good! We also watched the ice skating show which my sister especially loved, being an ice skater herself. We found out that if you are in line for a ride when the park closes at 10pm, they won't kick you out (this was new for us)! So we ended the day with another ride on MF at like 11pm. Today was very hot, but sunny. We got to ride every coaster at least once, except Disaster Transport which was closed. Tuesday: This was mainly a reride day of our favorite attractions. After breakfast we ran up to Raptor and then MF (the opposite from yesterday) and then did the back of the park first. Lunch came, and then we hit up the front. Again we voted on MF at night again since it was simply stunning. Today was much cooler (80 degrees), since it had rained over night. Wednesday: We woke up early and packed up to leave. I tried to convince my parents to stop by Geagua Lake on the way home, but they don't seem to understand the idea credit whoring. Overall, Cedar Point gets my vote as the best amusement park that I've visited! It's clean, friendly, and fun. I love the attention to hospitality and saftey from the workers and ride ops. Every time we left the station for a ride, they would check the belts like 3 times, which made us feel very safe. I LOVE how they greet you back too with a big "Red train, how was your ride!" It makes you feel like you are apart of Cedar Point, and not just another person. We were very lucky with good weather, since our visit 2 years ago was in the high 60s and rainy every day. 5 stars out of 5 for Cedar Point! Coasters and Rides: Top Thrill Dragster (2 times) very intense but short Millennium Force (4 times) favorite coaster ever, rode twice at night, we saw people in the front row pealing plastered bugs of their faces (lol) Magnum XL200 (2 times) bumpy, but very fun and long Wicked Twister (2 times) the back seat is amazing Raptor (2 times) favorite B&M inverted, back seat on right intense Mantis (1 time) got stopped on lift hill, not very impressed, probably cause ive been on chang billions of times and find it now boring Mean Streak (2 times) despite popular belief, i love this one, rode in front seat with sister, great fun, just hate the brakes on first drop Blue Streak (2 times) great classic coaster, front seat and back amazing Gemini (3 times) fantastic in the back, one of the best in the park Disaster Transport (1 time) random scenery, first bobsled, not impressed Iron Dragon (2 times) love this ride, very fun for all ages, you get some airtime in the back Corkscrew (1 time) less rough then i remember, but still no fun Wildcat (1 time) fun little thing Cedar Creek Mine Ride (2 times) very fun, old, kiddy coaster Woodstock Express (1 time) basic kids coaster Jr Gemini (0 times) couldn't steal a kid Demon Drop (1 time) sell it now Skyhawk (3 times) very fun and intense, but too short Maxair (2 times) favorite flat ride every Power Tower (2 times) amazing, like the turbo drop side more PHOTOS TO BE ADDED SOON!!! dandaman
Your opinions at the end sound exactly like mine... especially the bugs on MF. A front-seat ride with a yellow jacket on a May morning guarantees a lot of black dots that weren't there before. I just got back last night, in fact, from a visit to the Point. (Thursday and Friday.) Very fun, MF thrice, Magnum at least 10 times (as always), even Dragster. Noticed that you hit the back of the park first on the second day. If and when you go back, I suggest you park in the Soak City lot. There's an entrance really close to Dragster, Magnum, and Frontiertown. Since everyone else hits the front first, it's best to work in the opposite direction. Ride on!

Power Tower (2 times) amazing, like the turbo drop side more Is that the blue/green tower? If it is, I liked that side more too. Glad you had a good trip, and everynight we were there we did the same thing about MF, getting in line and riding it in the dark. The last row is amazing. ConleyKE
Cedar Point Photos Are In And I leave you with a close up of Top Thrill Dragster as we walked back to our cabin Tuesday night. Thanks for reading! I love how they light up Top Thrill's station at night! Cool photo of the Power Tower at night. The daily firework show was great, we watched it both nights from MF's line. The magically pumpkin. Ooo, scary! Group/Family photo. My sister and I in the Snoopy Boutique. Like you haven't seen this exclusive photo enough. We were denied a ride on the Jr Gemini, and couldn't steal any kids. You get some massive airtime in the back of Gemini. They were only running one train the second day. Mean Streak was actually quite enjoyable in the front row. Megan was a little nervous to ride the mine ride. My neck is still sore from this manuver. We (including the girl next to us) found it quite fun. This ride was very short, and took along time between to dispatch. Our dad wasn't up for the new Skyhawk, so he took some pictures of us. We got pretty bored in line for Millennium Force, hense all these similar pics. My skillful shot with two trains for the price of one. Megan's photo is nearly perfect, besides the brakes ruining the speed on the hill. Probably my favorite shot of our trip. That coaster sure does have one steep lift hill. Millennium Force and some of it's number 1 fans! This pic was supposed to have MF's train in it, but it zoomed past to quickly. Some of our favorite rides, along with a cooling fan in MF's queue. We are somewhere on that train; our mom's an amatuer with the camera. Wildcat has some nice drops, and intense brakes. Some Cedar Point landmarks. Approximatley 3 seconds after this picture was taken, the cable snapped and we all smashed into Cedar Points flower gardens below. So this was where the seegee collided with Megan's dome piece. Raptor reminds us of artichocks and peas; no wonder this made our dad quezy. Meg is still interpruting which is more thrilling, the light post or Wicked Twister! If you know which ride is more intense in this photo, email Dan. Is it just me or does this pic look familiar, looks just like the 06 brocheur. Breakfast on the go, the apple is only ten times better then eggs and bacon. Another view from the backlot, we love the skyline of America's Roller Coast. Meg wants to ride the lightpost. A scenic few from our cabin of Mean Streak, all is good besides the tacky RV; way to ruin the pic! My sister shows off her masters degree in the art of bug smashing. Any shoe does the trick! Meg deminstrates one of the many bedding techniques, the loser sandwich. Here is an interior view of our cabin, complete with a swimsuit drying rack ... simply stunning! Cabin 111, our home away from home for the next few days. The seegees have their own penninsula; they have not developed a love for thrill rides yet. Welcome to seegee (seagul) city! Reality15
And I, also, have to agree with you on my two favorite CP coasters, Twister and Raptor. Back seat right on both of those is the best place to be on the entire ride. Glad to see you had fun at the Point, not too many people I go with are finding it fun anymore... oh well, more for us, I guess!
