SAVE THE MOUNTAIN!!!!

On a more serious note, I can understand why Santa Clarita wants SFMM to stay. They're getting a lot of business from people who stay in the area, buy food, and shop. Without SFMM, they will loose a lot of their business and it will become another random town somewhere out in the mountains.

i believe the city wont have any effect on their decision or very little. unless they are willing to pay 500 million to six flags, it could be sold. and i think the city says they want it to stay because of the jobs, but they really want it to stay for the money it brings in, and all the people it attracts.

Where else would the several thousand the park employs work around here though? SFMM really is the biggest employer in town, no one else can touch them as far as work force goes, not everyone would be able to find another job.

I agree with the business and income the park brings in too, the guests aren't all from within a day's drive, and even some that are will want to stick around a little while longer and see some of the sights around town. What about "hamburger hill" though? If people aren't coming to the park, the couple dozen restaurants at the Lyons exit will still get traffic from the I-5, but probably a lot less.

Then again, the way the park likes to keep their employees "informed" of what's going on reminds me of what a friend told me: "I must be a mushroom, they keep me in the dark, and feed me bull crap!"

More people with jobs means more city for the money. It all revolves around the money.

Anyways, I'm not surprised to see that Cedar Fair is not interested in Six Flags Magic Mountain, and I'm glad to see they're staying away from the temptation. The last thing we want is CF to get in the same hell hole SF got itself into.

Maybe Anhieser busch will see some profit in it for them if they bought the park. They could rip out some of the rides in put in some nice animally attractions. There's plenty of rides at the park that people won't miss to terribly much. And animals give families something to do.
