Norwegian coasterfan
Yes the Buccaneer looks great but I thought it was suppose to be an octopuses mouth the ride was diving through when did it change to a ship? 0:13 and you see that it was supposed to have both
ECZenith
In the construction I see both a mouth and a ship, isn't the mouth for the first drop and the ship for the inversion?
RCT3Bross
The original idea was that you fall in a mouth and would come out of a ship followed by the splash. Love the addition, the idea of falling vertical in a giant sea monster en burst out of a ship. So far I love how they are making it so far wonder when the giant mouth will where we'll be falling through. willh51
Oh that new theming is just badass.
RCT3Bross
Getting better every time. The 2 new arms are a bit strange. Going straight up and making a half circle and going straight to the ship? Wouldn't it be more real if they made a quarter circle and let the arm lie on the ship? I mean the idea was that the Kraken puled the ship to the depths, now it looks like he is holding the ship in place.
Richard
They're really making this tight! Look at the clearance tester.
GeorgeT
Wow...not (just) because this is in Germany...but what a great way to improve a diver. Just wow !
cal1br3tto
Wow, that looks seriously impressive. I admire both the theme and the level of detail. It should add a lot to the ride!
XYZ
I'm wondering why they didn't do this last year when it was built?
coasterkyle
The rumor (I think it was actually stated by the park but I'm not entirely sure so I'm just going to stick with 'Rumor') that the park received theming that could not be safely installed w/o delaying the opening of the ride. So they waited till the park was closed for the season to put the theming up. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
RCT3Bross
Apparently, the krake was hungry according Heide-Park. Quote from: Heide-Park:Attention! The sharp, man-sized teeth of the Krake have eaten today to the prow of the ship wreck! Finally the mouth. Looks good Heide-Park, looks good. Hope I can make the dive this year in this great piece of theming. Source: Heide-Park facebook page.
MayTheGForceBeWithYou
All the publicity over the theming is finally being realized!
GeorgeT
Oh well...while the ship looks sweet I think until now the kraken itself looks kind of cheap...but hopefully that will change...and thumbs up Heide Park for adding what was promised for last year ! cal1br3tto
Okay, now that's starting to look seriously creepy. Of course, in this case that's really a good thing.
Trevannosaurus Rex
That's looking pretty awesome. Glad to see it getting added. From what I can recall in the past, it's not uncommon for German Parks to open the ride and then add the theming later. (Klotten and the Klotti coaster is probably the most well well known example at the moment).

If that thing makes you think of that movie I can only react like: , and after that I would do this: . So you see a giant v-gyna whit teeth in that? Lol. Kooky
really awesome looking.... if you look at this picture you can see how huge this construction is and that the ship goes upside the track... it seems to come really close to the first artworks... that is what all the fanboys waited for: source: http://www.heide-park-world.de/images/news/Baublog/2012/12_03_01-c.jpg

RCT3Bross
The wreck takes more and more shape. Port and starboard of the ship wreck are now nearly finished, artillery and skulls suggest attention to the former occupation. Man it looks great can't wait to see it in real life From the Facebook of Heide-Park.
cfc
Good to see that they're following through on the theming now--it looks great.
RCT3Bross
Update from Heide-Park: The gigantic mouth of the Krake works well from a distance of 75m height and impressive dangerous. Around the Krake it is quiet on the site, meanwhile, slowly, so that the completion of the wreck is approaching very soon. I personalty think it doesn't work well from the distance, only the mouth is showing good. But it could be the picture.
