Page 2218 - Wonder Woman Roller Coaster for 2022!

Times for the WTF? Video of the day...

On Saturday a couple of us were up on Samurai Sumit, when we heard a very familiar beat-

Riddler's station music! Listen carefully (preferably headphones) and you can hear it in the background...

I'm quite confused by it...

That's not the Riddler music. The beat just sounds different.

They lost the track when they switched over to the new sound system. I asked one of the supervisors and he said the sound department made the new, darker soundtrack to replace it. As far as I know, the park doesn't have a copy of the song anymore. Sure you can download one from the internet, but the edit they used to have didn't have all the "Ecuadors!" in it.

And like I said a long time ago, notice my avatar, the Terminator theme was way too cheesy. Just let us on the ride now!!!

Also for those questioning Superman. Who of you have Engineering degrees and work in that field? I am very curious. For those talking about clamps, I remember my structural engineering professor, steels was the subject, in 2000 talking about the future, high rises would be made out of plastic. Everyone laughed, yet he was coming back from a speech he did on that very subject. That's why I ask since I am sure there are more than a few engineers in here and more curious about thoughts of how they are making this addon ride work.

While Green Lantern may have disappointed, Apocalypse most certainly did not. This coaster deserves some love, because it was hauling A$$ Saturday night. It really has become a great little wooden coaster, and imo, HIGHLY underrated.

Does SFMM still show the Apocalypse video while your waiting in line? Also how much is the whole LLOD going to cost?

They just let us walk through the Pre-show area when I rode it during normal park operating hours at WCB. There wasn't a big line so maybe that's the reason. Hopefully they have just stopped making people watch it.

We went later on in the day when the worker told us the line was 20 minutes. It was almost an hour long. There was no pre-show though. No video was playing, and they just let us walk right on through to the station.

They need to figure out another way to do Flashpass so they don't have to stop the line outside of the preshow if they aren't going to use it. Just have that be part of the line and let people get some AC. Isn't there another set of stairs heading into the station that completely bypasses the pre-show? Why couldn't FlashPass use that?

Good things the park has done recently:

-Faster dispatch times

-Roadrunner Express

-DC Universe

Bad things the park has done recently:

-Everything else that can possibly go wrong.

You would think someone whose last name is 'Carpenter' would do more to fix up the park. The last thing we need is another Del Holland. I hope the next Jay Thomas is hired soon!

Well if the park is supposedly that bad maybe Robb shouldn't have WCB their next year and take his business elsewhere. Maybe this will show SFMM that they just aren't kissing the enthusiast a$$ enough and will make them pucker up for you guys better.

Imo that report on Westcoaster comes of as I'm a spoiled enthusiast so what they didn't want to drops any hits on what's going on for 2013, so what if they thought one of the questions asked was kinda retarded. There is no guarantee nor does it state any where in the event flier that SFMM or any park will answer ALL of your questions nor does it say anywhere that the park must drop hints on any new attraction coming to the park.

So he's complaining about rides being down that EVERYONE!!! knew would be down months before the event

He's taking pictures of the old monorail station talking about how bad it looks when he can clearly see they have finally started to remove it. Yes it should not have been allowed to get that way in the first place but now that you can clearly see that it's being taken care of why start complaining about it.

Green lantern well it seams the GP loves it, I guess that's all that really matters. I was there the Sunday after WCB and the GP was going crazy over this ride. I heard not one complaint of pain, uncomfortable or it didn't spin enough from not one person. Just b/c other Zac spins run a more insane program maybe it's b/c they don't have all the regulations and insurance companies and sue happy Americans to deal with.

I was there the Sunday after WCB and I had a great time, the park was clean, there was two train ops on the coasters, GL was running 4 trains the 5th one had the shields off and was in a testing mode. I had 3 members of the GP with me I usually judge based of off the GP experience and they had a great time. We ate at Mooseburger, Johnny Rockets, and Cold stone throughout the day and no one in my group complained about the meals or the service we received. They were kinda bummed we couldn't ride S:EFK but once I explained why it was down they understood and that was the end of it. Anyways the Westcoaster report is the first that I'm seeing that WCB was suppose to be so horrible at SFMM, on SFMM facebook page the people who went are thanking TPR and SFMM for such a great time.

^On the Westcoaster photo TR, I do agree with you. Yes, the park did go a little light on the event this year. But, he was complaining about Superman being closed, while also complaining that LLDOD construction had been delayed too much. You can't keep a ride open when there are going to be cranes 400 feet in the air a mere feet away from it. Also, even on this site, there were a few complaints about what the park didn't do. However, that is the first complaint I have ever seen about what the park did do. He seemed to think they were doing everything wrong.

I do, however, see his point in how the park itself is falling into disrepair. Although he did fail to mention how dispatch times are much faster than before. (Used to take 5 minutes for an X2 train, now it rarely takes more than 2 minutes)

I am probably in the minority here, but I would rather have a somewhat run down park with excellent operations on rides than an awesome-looking park with poor operations.

You should also all know that the person who wrote that SFMM WCB Update, didn't actually go to the event. He gets the pictures from a friend who goes and makes up the report to be entertaining. That being said, I think we've all come to the conclusion that SFMM did go lite on the event this year.

X2 operation has improved greatly! They were dispatching trains as the other was coming into the transfer constantly the past 3 times Ive been to the park since the beginning of the year. The park is doing A LOT better than it was back in 2001 which you can tell. There are some nagging items that need to be addressed such as general upkeep and cleanliness issues in attraction queue lines.

Commenting on something they know nothing about, that sounds like a 13 year old!

^^Elissa that's what kinda of ticked me off even more knowing he didn't even go, he just threw that negative report together from pics he got from someone else and second hand information. His reports are usually pretty entertaining but that one just really grinded my gears lol.

Yes I have heard that SFMM went lite on WCB this year, but can we account that too being because of how much is going on right now maybe, maybe not. They do have the Log Jammer/2013 project going on with the 2012 project Lex Luther, going on with getting the park refreshed to operate for the 2012 season while trying to pull off an event for over 800 people. Maybe they've just stretched themselves a little thin lol again maybe, maybe not.

I don't fully understand on the SFMM went lite since I wasn't there, but I also don't think when it's said SFMM went lite means let's pull out the flaming torches and pitch forks lol. I've heard more positive then negative even if SFMM went lite this year still sounds like a lot of people still had fun and I thought that was the whole point of the event.

The thing is, the report on Westcoaster had nothing to do with the event itself nor the people who organize it and everything to do with the fact that management at SFMM is just bad.

The superman comment (to me) had more to do with the fact that the ride was just sitting there (without any sort of real construction happening). If it had a whole bunch of construction going on, that'd be pretty understandable. But it didn't.

Also, with regards to the Q&A, he's right. It doesn't matter how stupid the question is, you don't insult your guests. They are the reason you have a job. That's just customer service logic.

Have people been getting the SFMM and Knott's Q&A's mixed up? I thought SFMM said quite a lot about their 2013 and 2014 attractions. Regarding the Log Jammer replacement, they said it would be "huge", "record-breaking", not an Aqua-Trax (duh), and would have something to do with July 4 (probably the announcement date). That right there is quite a lot, since they're at least admitting they're adding something major to replace Log Jammer. Then they also went on about possibly giving Colossus the Rocky Mountain treatment (presumably for 2014), and that the only thing that might stop them was that they might not get a good return on the investment, since from the public perspective they wouldn't be getting a new ride for the money (they quoted a figure, I think it was $8 million).

On the other hand, Knott's said nothing about new attractions, other than that they were looking into getting better-riding trains for Ghostrider, and were looking into dark ride options for the park (in reference to KoD sitting vacant).

When did SFMM insult someone at the Q&A? I'm not doubting it, I just don't recall the question. Now, I do remember Raffi telling someone to put more thought into their questions, since they asked about Knott's getting a B&M hyper coaster and his response was that they already have Silver Bullet, which is clearly the same thing .

^IIRC, Tim was talking about the general philosophies behind how SFMM does attractions, not actually saying anything about the possible addition itself. Same with the whole Rocky Mountain track and Colossus in regards to needed to be able to get a return on investment. Something about "I rode Texas Giant...liked it a lot...but before we even consider it we have to get a return..blah blah blah."

The response that stood out to me was how Tim blew off the comment when someone complained about being stuck outside the station spinning/being stuck upside down uncomfortably on green lantern. I'm sure it made the person feel good to know that they were "working on it" and "stopped scheduling a maintenance person there everyday to turn the cars" and gave them a piece of log jammer flume. I don't even remember an apology.

At the SFMM Q&A session, a person asked a question that was similar to one that was already answered and Tim responded by asking if they person had a "learning disability."

This would've been the most intriguing answer to me at either Q&A. I'd love to see Knott's get a new and, I hope, unique dark ride--love to see SFMM get one, too, but I doubt that will ever happen.
