S33S313
While driving past the park on the 5 freeway just now, I noticed a splotch of yellowish light on the back of SEFK's tower...couldn't tell what it was from that far away. Has anyone else noticed it?
X2coasterfreak
^ I think it is the Superman logo at the top of the tower, when I was there last time it was lit up. After the renovation to S:EFK I think they were smart to bring that logo back to light.
Dietcokevan
I am going "to da mountain" possibly tomorrow. So does anybody know if you have to print anything out to get the time voucher for Deja or just go to Guest Relations?
JJ728
You have to pick something up at the park. I think you go to guest relations to get them, but if that's not true, then you'll already be at guest relations to ask.
buckaroo234
Went to the park yesterday, it looks like the show stadium by riddlers and the tidal wave queue are both being used as mazes. Also there is a scare zone underneath the lift on revolution. Thats all i caught tho.

mr. cockblock
Just got back from my first trip since '06. It was amazing. Got on every coaster at least once! Longest wait of the day was Batman (one train operation) and S:EFK at around 15-20 minutes max. Got my first rides on Green Lantern, Apocalypse, S:EFK and X2 (rode it as X last time.)  Pleasant surprises of the trip belongs to Apocalypse and S:EFK. I knew I was going to like S:EFK but it definitely passed my expectations! The launch was AMAZING and going up the tower backwards in the front row was awesome! The launch seems so much faster than anything I could remember on the old version, solid upgrade SFMM! Im not the biggest woodie fan in the world so I wasnt too pumped for Apocalypse, but it turned out to be 10x better than I imagined! The pacing and transitions were terrific, it never seemed to slow its pace till the brakes! Another great addition to the collection at SFMM!  X2 had no audio, but the fire was on. The drop and transition into the first raven turn is ridiculous! Amazing ride! Tatsu was just as good as I remembered it, two words: PRETZEL LOOP! wow. Green Lantern was average IMO! Got 2 spins on my ride but I left the ride unimpressed and my groin area hurt. Noticed rattling on Riddlers and Scream but nothing too crazy. Got my last ride on Deja-Vu, it was way more intense than I remembered.  X2- 2 rides - 3-4 train wait. Tatsu - 1 ride - 10 min wait Deja-Vu - 1 ride - walk on Apocalypse - 1 ride - walk on Jet Stream - 1 ride - walk on Gold Rusher - 1 ride - walk on Riddlers - 1 ride - walk on Green Lantern - 1 ride - 10 min wait Goliath - 1 ride - walk on Scream! - 1 ride - walk on Colossus - 1 ride - walk on Batman - 1 ride - 15-20 min wait Wonder Woman Lasso - 1 ride - walk on Log Jammer - 1 ride - walk on Revolution - 1 ride - walk on Viper - 3 rides - walk on Ninja - 1 ride - walk on Superman: EFK - 1 ride - 15 min wait  Overall it was an amazing trip with little to no waits on all the rides! Employees were very friendly and I barely noticed any gang bangers that normally flood the park when im there! Sundays during "the off-season" are a great time to go! Thanks SFMM. Trevannosaurus Rex
Visited today second vist to the park. Walked onto pretty much everything, longest wait was 15 minutes for Tatsu. Thanks to the people who posted the touring plans. The rest of our group ended up going on X first and got stuck in 90 minute waits. We walked onto it later in the day. Awesome ride and an awesome day. Both trips to Magic mountain I've expected a bad day and to only get a couple of rides in and both times I've been very impressed with the park. So I guess I'm something of a minority.
JJ728
^There's actually a lot of people that are happy with the improvements SFMM made (or is currently making). This summer the place looked really nice and didn't have too many hiccups, and the ones that it had weren't the park's fault (ie Tatsu's lift motor). Fright Fest is looking like it's going to be a big success this year as well. Glad you took advantage of everyone's tips and had a great visit. Pacificoaster
3 rides on Viper? Still trying to process who'd want to do that. That ride is one of the more painful ones seeing that I'm about 6 feet tall and my shoulders get smashed by the OTSR. Also, my legs and feet are always in a discomforting position leaving my spine unaligned making for one crappy ride. Â Glad to hear you had a good time and the lines were fairly short. Almost every report I've read from people who haven't gone in 4-5 years is full of high points talking about how much better the park is now compared to their last memory of it. You can easily tell when people haven't gone in 5+ years because they're the only ones who'd talk about SFMM's 'gangbanger problem' or how trashy the park is, or something like that. My friend wanted to re-ride so I went along with it, I actually avoided the headbanging and had good rides on Viper other then the harnesses putting crazy pressure on my shoulders from being 6'2. Nothing too bad though.

JJ728
So I'm sitting at home, and have a couple minutes that need to be burned. What better way to spend it then browsing through the TPR park index? Of course, I had a look at the SFMM page, and wanted to add a couple of pictures of my own, that were either missing, needed to be updated, or some nice to haves. Â Even if larrygator doesn't want to use them, you can never have enough coaster porn, and it's nice to look at them here. Â The new Apocalypse sign. There is just the old temporary "cardboard" in the index. Â Batman's blue color scheme isn't depicted in the index. Â Overall shot of the Scream plaza, with the loop. Â Scream's station! Â 2 Shows this year for Fright Fest. "Dr. Frights CarnEvil" and "Off with your headl". One show is on the out door stage of Golden Bear, called High Sierra Stage. The other show is on the outdoor stage right in front of the DC Universe Arch. No shows will be in the entrance plaza, and no traveling shows on the midway. If you have any more questions they have posted all of the info on their Fright Fest website. http://frightfest.sixflags.com/magicmountain

buckaroo234
Was at the park yesterday, have a few hints (and some tip of the hat, wag of the finger as well!) Â Tip of the hat goes to X2 and colossus backwards. X2 had 3 missed dispatches (dispatches that take longer at 1:45) the entire time i was in line (yes im a nerd and time from when one train hits the chain till the next hits the chain). Also the colossus backwards crew made a line outside the building less than 15 minutes. Â Wag of the finger goes to Ninja and Batman crews. 2:30 dispaches on ninja are unacceptable on the emptiest of days, def no good when the park is crowded as all hell. And batman, WARNING IT ONLY IS RUNNING 1 TRAIN, and the crew was moving slow even for just the 1 train. 2 min dispaches and 1 train operation makes for a slow moving line. But foggy nights its totally worth it. Â Caught a brief moment of the show outside DC universe, and if your scared of drag queens, it will definately be unsettling, but it looked mostly like a drag show. Also many of the scare zones left something to be desired.Like being scary. Â Overall though it was a very fun atmosphere, just too few scare actors in relation to the crowd and limited operational areas for them to be effective. But with alot of the rides with no running lights, Colossus backwards and foggy nights, who needs to drop the 10 bucks (8 for season pass holders) on a maze wristband. Â Also many of the scare zones left something to be desired.Like being scary. Â Â Have to agree, the X2 crew was hauling last night. A full que which normally would easily exceed well over an hour and half took just around an hour. Huge kudos to them. The down fall was the Halloween audio wasn't working on the train we rode. Â And I sadly have to agree with the "scare zones". While the little talent was super energetic, it just didn't have the vibe that was last years whole event had. However with the park being absolutely mobbed with people, perhaps we'll see a continued effort put into making Fright Fest even better next year. buckaroo234
the audio has been iffy for a while, and i still think its the lead acid batteries in the audio control unit. Also that last turn that hurts so bad prolly isnt good for the electronics on that either.

UniverseHollywood
Ive never been to SFMMs fright fest so i was wondering if fright fest is better or is Knotts Haunt better? Â No competition. Go to Knott's or Universal Studios. Â Honestly the Fright Fest at Magic Mountain is sad, and despite all the hype and marketing they do to promote the Halloween event, it almost makes you wonder why they even make an attempt. Changing up some of the rides like Batman fog and Colossus backwards is cool, but the mazes and scare zones, meh.
