I remember hearing that structure was used for the old train station that used to circle the area that I believe is now occupied by Goliath. Just a guess though. Is the petting zoo barn still there?

You're right, I checked the 1980 map and it was the station for the "Train to Trollywood" ride that used to be where Goliath stands now. It sat empty for awhile and later became of the overflow queue in 1993 for "Sierra Falls" but was rarely used as the ride got older and the line never really gone past the stairs.

^^^ A dollar to come back another day? Am I reading that right?

When did season passes first appear at SFMM?

Staying on topic, Green Lantern looks great! Colors work really well!

Like SirClinks said, it was the "Twicket"

They were hugely popular and ranged in $ amount and days limit to come back within based on the time of the year and how busy the park was. For the most part they were usually $1 and you had to come back the next day. I used to be a supervisor for that area and remember spending hours after the park closed to filter everyone through the line, it was insanely popular as you can imagine it was a great value. They also sold season passes at that time but they were much more costlier than the "Buy a day-get a year free" they do now. I remember the Twicket started out as you had to sign one side of the Twicket the day you were there and get it stamped when you paid and then you had to sign the back when you returned and the gate attendant would just match the signatures. In the late 90s, they went to taking the guest's picture and printing it on the Twicket to avoid people giving it to their friends and having them learn how to sign their signature.

Good ole' days...

^^ I can remember waiting in that Twicket line with friends, it was crazy (I always had a SP).

The Season Passes back in the day were more than the "Buy a Day" but the value was great. If I remember correctly with the coupon books you used to get 2-4 "Free friends" (good any day), a couple of free parking and other really awesome coupons. With the current coupon books, I don't think we've used any of them in a couple of years.

Train to Trollywood, that's right. I was like 5 or 6 last time I rode it, and obviously wasn't paying that close attention to the station. LOL!

I do remember the entrance to Sierra Falls always using that area, then going through the queue on the left side of the ride. If I'm remembering correctly, in the last years of the ride being open, they didn't make you enter through that part of the queue.

I doubt if something was missing that it would be track, probably something much smaller. Damn those pictures look great dont they? The green track looks so much better up in the air than laying in the dirt behind Termisalvation...

It looks great, although the OCD within me dislikes that it's right up against a coaster with a similar color scheme. I suppose in the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal. I hope we see more of these in the U.S.

I'm with you on all of your points, haha.

I'm wondering where the queue for the ride will be set up. Behind the ride?

I'm guessing it'll be set up with the line heading out towards Batman's first loop and Zero-G-Roll. There seems to be next to no room towards Tidal Wave, if my memory serves me correctly from WCB.

Yeah, last time I was at the park and taking pictures near Tidal Wave, I tried to see if they were trying to/if there was any way they could connect Riddler/Batman through a path back there. It doesn't look like there is a way with Tidal Wave right there. I know they are keeping the facade from the old dance club/slaughterhouse so that may still have part of the queue. But I'm sure the entrance will be where the old statue was in Gotham.

Picture below of where I think it is with maybe a sign where the statue used to be.

GL is looking good from the most recent pictures. I am sure by Monday all the track should be completed, should be interesting. I think the queue may go right to left, beginning where the fake building facade is located, go directly behind GL, and clearly head to the left of GL, near Batman: The Ride, and head toward the station. I know they will need a lot of room for the queue, since the day it opens, it will be crowded, unless they use some of Batman: The Ride's queue for GL on a temporary basis, since that ride's queue isn't all that packed. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I am excited to ride this myself in June. Keep the pictures coming, and it's great that the official facebook page added a couple, and that video..very nice. That entire backlot will look so different once it opens, so many changes aplenty I am sure.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really see Rocky Mt. redoing Colossus. I'm sure they could, and it would be awesome, but the Tx Giant structure gave them more freedom to expand the layout. Colossus, on the other hand has a standard layout that would be more difficult to expand with the crazy overbanks and airtime hills that NTAG (did I get the acronym right?) has. That's just my opinion. Who knows? Maybe they'll surprise me.
