The Six Flags Magic Mountain (SFMM) Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

I have no pictures to back it up, however as of 12:45 this afternoon, Psyclone is no longer standing. All that was left was a bit of the transfer track house and the queue house/station. It is a pretty bare skyline next to deja vu.

This is weird hearing all of this, I've never had a horrible experience at SFMM during a Cheer Day. It might be a bit more annoying walking around, but generally I've found that most of the cheerleaders and their families aren't there to ride so lines are short. In fact, some friends went yesterday and did all the coasters (that were open) pretty fast!

Now, Cheerleader days at Paramount parks...that's a whole nother story!!!

Or WDW as well! *shudder*

Wow! I'm going up there Saturday with a friend of mine who is buying a Pass, so it will be interesting to see how the area looks now. I always thought Psyclone looked good, even though I thought it rode terribly. Here's hoping they put that area to better use!

Now that Psyclone has been completed razed down (as of today), I think we should expect Flashback to be gone within the next few weeks. Can't wait to see these two plots of land empty -- should be a nice surprise and change the look of the two areas of the park a lot.

Coasters can be torn down really quick, and in fact, I think Texas Cyclone was demolished in a day. I think it was a good move to get rid of these coasters since one was SBNO, and the other didn't seem to get many riders.(Unlike the good SF designed cyclone clone)

Airtime-How did SF build two completely different coasters of the same design-&Gravity

^TELL SFMM TO MAKE AN INTAMIN BALDER CLONE!!!! THAT'S BE AWESOME!!!

But seriously, I loved both of those rides. Even if psyclone hurt. It was a lot of fun, and brings back memories. Oh well! R.I.P., Psyclone.

***Psyclone***

3/23/1991 to 2006

- We met at a private party late September

- You needed resetting

-I went up quick

-Little did I know you were really quite sick

-One hour I sat as they were trying to get you back

- Suddenly I heard a large crack

- The train started to move

- Things seemed to improve ....

...

- Many months would pass

-I would push reset

-You would issue an E-stop

- I don't care that this doesn't rhyme ...

- Now Burn in hell you POS.

now i am not happy that it is torn down or sad. I see a lot of people want rides removed, why? just dont stand in line. someone likes it. all it does it cut down on variety. i just want them to put more coasters not take away. i can see if there was no room for new rides and u need to cut down on less popular rides to make room for new but this isnt the case with the psyclone.
