^ I'm serious, but I didn't mean I literally couldn't see the track; I meant that I couldn't really tell what everyone is talking about when they say it looks so insane and crazy. All I see is some typical RMC-style twisted track and airtime hills. I personally think WC looks way more insane.

Twisted Colossus = RMC. RMC = insane. Therefore, Twisted Colossus = insane. It's the Transitive Property of Equality.

Maybe so but I am looking forward to (2) 125' 80 degree drops vs WC (1) 109' 78 degree drop. Granted they will both be insane in their own and unique way.

Although RMC has yet to build any sub-par coasters, it just seems extremely fanboy-ish to say a roller coaster will be good just because of the manufacturer. Same idea for Schwarzkopf coasters; while many are generally fairly highly regarded, it seems that some enthusiasts refuse to believe they aren't slices of heaven in 1970's steel track form.

Two disclaimers on this

*I understand you were joking a bit, but I've noticed this as a recent trend that I'm not a fan of. It's funny because nowadays it's just the opposite for B&M as some assume they are garbage until they ride it themselves

**I am not at all saying Schwarzkopf's are bad coasters. Many of them are awesome, but people act like they are the best invention since the wheel... like saying Whizzer at SF Great America is the best coaster in the park.

^Great photos, and thanks to everyone who is posting photos of the quick -but frequent- updates! They are not going unappreciated!

I'm sorry, but is that blue hill another layout change?? LOVIN all the layout changes!!

Not a change! This is the bottom hill in the Top Gun Stall, the green track will be upside down over this hill. It looks like this in the animation.

That being said from what it looks like, there is a substantial amount of support structure that will need to be built to accommodate the "Top Gun Stall" on the green track while the blue track is enjoying the hill they're working on now. I think after the blue track is installed to this point, there will be another week or two of construction where we see a little bit of "delay" as far as progression in the track layout. The support for the green TGS will be an addition constructed purely by RMC.

They are laying both tracks in succession while they build this thing, which IMO is a great way to go about it. Although Magic Mountain has had a troublesome history pushing the limits with unique coaster design, RMChas a solid history, and I like the way they're building this thing.

Until proven otherwise, I think it is a safe assumption that any RMC ride will be a kick ass ride. You know what you're getting. RMC coasters are the new Intamin hypers.

RMC coasters- Kick ass until proven guilty.

Aren't all these RMC rides, the polercoaster, and that cool new batman ride being designed by or in part by Alan Schilke? What a genius.

Also the genius behind X, known today as X2, all the way back in the Arrow Dynamics days if I'm not mistaken.

The guy is an out-of-the-box thinker for sure. Of the rare breed who doesn't let people telling him it's not possible, will never work, etc stop him.

How crowded should I expect the park to be this Sunday the 15th???

I dont think you will win this.

If your at SFMM it will be busiest day ever, if your not at SFMM it will be the slowest day ever.

It will be warm I can tell you that, so bring water.

Same day is LA Marathon and I actually know people running in it and going to watch people running in it.

Most Sundays the crowd doesn't really start arriving until between 11-2 so if its in your best interest to be "that guy" waiting for the Toll Gate to open (most times it opens by 9:35 am) and for about the first 90 minutes really have a good shot at the rides.

If you have a gold pass seek out the early entrance line. If you have a Discover Card seek out the early entrance line. If you have neither smack your self twice and ask why and then join the GP and keep your elbows up.

Bottom line it should be a great day except for the projected 92 degrees.
