I deleted the picture that I had of her (she kept turning her back), but I can tell you what she was doing. I don't know if that will help or not. On Easter Sunday, there was a flood or something by the Golden Bear Theatre. She was brooming the water out of the midway. There were two of them, but the one who ignored me was wearing the "hiliter shirt."

Ninja was only running one train when I was out there on Monday, but the Sky Tower was open.

 

Tatsu was having its difficulties, however, so I skipped it. But as an example of improving service, two security guards by the entrance to Tatsu told me that I could ask any security personnel anywhere in the park about it reopening, and they would simply call up there to find out for me.

I heard that Ninja could only run one train the past few days because of a lack of staff for it specifically. I love that ride, it's such a bummer to get up to the top of the hill and see a big chunk of the queue filled due to one train operation!

 

IIRC, wasn't one of the things they boasted about at the WCB Q&A the fact that they had a waiting list for ride operator positions? I know a lot of the workforce @ SFMM are minors, so I would think they would want to hire more people to offset losing so many people to school.

I took a picture of one of them and got yelled at by the employee.

 

I took a picture of one of the employees also, then I asked her a question and she ignored me. I thought that she didn't hear me, so I asked her again. Then she turned around, rolled her eyes, and walked off. Maybe she thought I was making fun of her, but I was just taking a picture for my Photo Trip Report that I'll be making later this week.

This is my first TR. You can tell because the photos are posted backwards. If you want the TR from begining to end, you'll have to read the pictures backwards. Sorry, I'll do day 2 differently.

 

Day 1:

I went to SFMM on Easter Sunday, and it was a lot more crowded than I thought it would be. We entered the park and got out season pass made (good thing we did it online because the regular line was crazy). We walked to Tatsu - CLOSED. Okay then, let's ride Ninja - CLOSED. I saw Jahan standing up by Ninja. He said that Tatsu was closed due to technical problems.

 

We went up the Sky Tower, the exhibits were really interesting. We didn't stay up there long because my friend wanted to ride Deja. The line was kind of long, so we waited it out. Then we got hungry and ate at the new Surf Side Grill for $14.

 

We saw that Tatsu was testing, so we went to get in line. It opened and the line started to move. We were going to be the next people to ride, and what do you know, it breaks down again. We waited there for about an hour and a half, then decided to get out of line.

 

We walked to Superman: The Escape. When we got off, I told my mom that it wasn't any more thrilling than the plane ride over here. After that we walked down that HUGE hill to ride Riddlers. It's a good ride and all, but it hurts my privates.

 

We started to walk toward Batman, then we noticed the Three Point Challenge. My friend Jon played it (even though it was $10). My mom and dad didn't want to ride it, so we got in line. That was the best ride of the day. It was just so forceful. I told my mom that she had to ride it tomorrow.

 

After that we headed over to SCREAM. We waited for the front row, and man it was trippy. My only complaint about it was that it felt like it was vibrating the whole way through. I didn't want to ride Colossus, so we skipped it and headed to Goliath. It was so fast that my eyes started to water.

 

After Goliath, my friend wanted to get a souvenir. On our way we noticed that the Guitar Hero Challenge was replaced by Virtual Army Experience. He bought what he needed and we headed back to the hotel.

 

I'll post day 2 tomorrow.

We had a great time up in the sky tower. It's interesting to see what the mountain has been through in its history.

Deja Vu's line was about 45 min.

I was waiting in line for Tatsu for a while, so I got artsy!

Someone lost a cd on the ride again. Wait, what?

Only Six Flags would put advertizing space above every urinal!

This thing is taller than I thought, good thing (or bad thing for some people) it only goes up 3/4 of the way.

As we entered Gotham City we were greeted with this wonderfull advertizement. Only Six Flags!

Gotham City is one of my favorite areas of the park because it's so well themed.

The music really adds to the experience. People gathered around to watch and cheer the players on.

There's $40 made for Six Flags. This thing is sure to draw in some dough.

These are some snazzy prizes, too bad you have to make all 15 shots to win one.

FAIL! No, this was one of only two open gates that I saw on the trip.

I hope they don't leave it like this. Hopefully they'll put in a replacement flat.

It's the Virtual Army Experience!

It was by The Golden Bear Theatre.

You have to take a short survey, and when your done they give you a free computer game. So that's where the cd over the queue came from!

There were two shooting games under the tent.

There were also lots of computers for people to play a special game on.

You have to go under the huge tree to get to Bugs Bunny World.

On our way out of the park, we saw this view.

Ya know.. that guy is probably on break.. You don't expect them to be working ten hours straight with no break, right?

^If he was on break, he should have been out of view of guests. Unless they've changed the rules employees are not allowed to sit out on the midway on their phones even if they're on break.

Everyone keep up on the phototaking of MM employees on their cell phones when they're not supposed to be!

 

If MM can't keep their employees from talking on their phones when they're not supposed to, maybe the risk of TPR members popping out of nowhere on an unexpected employees will!

 

I've never understood the "better than you" attitudes of some of the employees. Its like, hey man, you're getting paid minimum wage, the least you could do is get your lips unwrapped from your own ass.

I have had that problem plenty of times at MM, but i can say they are getting better.

Ok, I want to tell you a story about Employee, Me and Boss.

 

At the Six Flags Magic Mountain for the employee is sneak to sit down and use the cellular without work.

 

Larry) Hey! what is he doing to sit down and use the cellular?

 

Employee) Oh shut up, Give me a break!

 

Larry) All Right!

 

Boss) What is hell you doing with the cellular?

 

Employee) Oh wait a minute boss.

 

Boss) No call, Get back to work now!

 

Employee) Oh please don't being rude to me.

 

Boss) Whatever? Gimme me the damn cellular please.

 

Employee) Let me finish call with something.

 

Boss is took his cellular and toss it on the roller coaster track.

Employee) Are you crazy that is my cellular it's cost $175.00!

I went to MM today.. overall it was good..

 

On Viper someone stuck their gum on the floor while in the train and the main op made them pick it up and throw it in the trash.

 

I got in line for Superman at about 7, it was going slowly and there was this really loud and obnoxious group of high school kids, and everything echoes in there.. Also in part of the tunnel, the fans were turned off. I don't know if it's always like that since I've never waited in that part before.

 

Also, Sky Tower was closed around noon, I saw the employee walking up to close it and he said it was due to high winds. It was breezy on and off throughout the day, but I guess the wind is a little stronger at the top. I walked by it a couple times later and never saw it open.

 

Gold Rusher ran one train the entire day, but everything else I rode seemed fine.

I would not worry about Thomas Town. I know up here at SFDK it looked the same as your pics for months and then the above ground stuff went up in a couple of weeks. As far as what kind of coaster is coming I know they have the Tony Hawk Family coaster at other parks and they are putting one in here, They seem to get on kicks of putting the same stuff in. Personally I hope it is not because we go to both parks and I hope it is something new. As far as all the complaining I did about the dollar lockers after visiting SFDK over spring break I actually like them. The employees were not enforcing them but a lot of times I get paranoid about the buttons on my shorts opening and losing my wallet or phone, yes I know its stupid. It was worth the buck to not have to think about it.
