coasternut
Looks amazing! I'm an MM fan-boy anyway. The trains and restraints look good too. That's a lot of work by Spring of next year. We'll see. I can't wait!

Top Thrill Dragster
SFMM is running a Labor Day sale, half off of Gold Season Passes. No minimum number of passes required! Diamondbacker27
Thank god it didn't take the Beast's record. I'm sure it would have claimed "Worlds Longest Wooden roller coaster" if it were any longer than the Beast.
RideofSteel
Oh my god... This looks amazing!! I absolutely love the layout. The high-five element looks so cool!
robbalvey
My God! This looks amazing. Â Mandatory complaint: it's a bit short though. Â Unless I am completely wrong, by the way it was edited, I think you go around the entire ride twice. Has anyone figured out if it's two different sides with separate stations or if you go around twice? The press release wasn't totally clear on that. They said you go through nearly 5,000 feet of track and two lift hills, but wasn't the old ride nearly 5,000 feet of track per side?
RideofSteel
^I think you go around twice. That's how it looks in the video.
ahecht
^^Robb, the video shows at 1:20 that the end of the blue side leads directly to the green side of the lift hill, complete with the track changing colors. Â Frankly I'm disappointed that they are combining two 4300ft tracks and only getting a "nearly 5000ft" coaster out of it. The extra 700 feet aren't worth killing the pacing with a second lift hill. BoulderDash
You go around twice. Blue transforms into green and blue ends with a brake run.
thrillseeker4552
You go around twice. It's a möbius loop (except only one track loads in the station, not two)! Notice the section of the video where the blue track turns green and speeds up the other side of the lift hill. So technically speaking, this is only one roller coaster, bringing SFMM back to 19.  Definitely getting passes next year!  EDIT: It's set the same way as the Smiler. And that's good, because if this was two separate coasters (like a dueling coaster), SFMM would only every run one side. On this, even if they run only one train, you still go around both tracks! Manic Monte
^^True, but the trade off is you get two 80 degree drops out of it. Edited August 28, 2014 by Manic Monte
RyanTPM
Certainly looks like you go around twice rather than two coasters. That's a great feature
coasterbill
This looks awesome... I'm glad there's only going to be one station though so Magic Mountain can't close half of it. As far as the dueling element I hope that works as well as it looks like it will in the video. Hopefully they'll have software to match up the lifts like a lot of Racing coasters do (basically the opposite of what Dragon's Challenge currently has). DBJ
Wow! That is a pretty impressive design. I would renew my pass for this ride. So if they say spring 2015, adjusting for SFMM construction delays, late June until mid-July. Also, very glad they are looking at doing the infrastructre improvements, just praying it turns out better than Yolo plaza.

XYZ
Even though I'm not a fan of SFMM at all, this is enough for me to get a Six Flags membership next year. Well done, SFMM, well done. Â Also, a HIGH FIVE at SFMM! That's incredible!

Shavethewhales
I don't think they are having you go around twice, but the concept artwork is indeed confusing on that issues because it doesn't show the full setup of the stations, etc. While it would be badass to go around twice for coaster enthusiasts, it's unnecessary, and therefore SF wouldn't want to pay for it when they could get double the capacity (or rather, be able to alternate keeping one side closed and one side open in a few years). Â The ride looks great though, I love the stall. Better make sure we all get our classic woodie credits in while we still can, no wooden coaster is safe from RMC anymore! PKI Jizzman
I believe the ride ops will have the be on top of their game to get the trains out of the station on time so that the coasters duel, too. If that's true, this ride will eat through the line with no problem. Â And based on the videos and the press release, it's a Mobius coaster. It's not two separate tracks. How are people getting confused?
