While reading that, I though they were talking about rebuilding only one track, but neither the left or the right one... Instead, utilise the large double-structure as a giant base to make a gigantic structure with one track in the middle.

See my drawing :

I need sleep, I guess.

That would be interesting. But do they count colossus as two coasters or one? Because if it is two they wouldn't want to lose one of them.

Swung by the park for a few hours to see how things would be in the covid world, and I have to say that magic mountain did a pretty good job. For those wondering, it appears the only checks for r

SFMM Trip Report. Opening Day, April 1st, 2021.    TLDR: I had a very six flags day (but it was awesome)   After over four years, I finally returned to my home park and self-procla

On Saturday 11/21, Theme Park Review was invited to see the Six Flags Magic Mountain Holiday in the Park Drive-thru Experience. It’s rare for park patrons to get to drive through a theme park, so this

What he posted was not a rumor, it was simply his dream wish to see that happen. As it has been everyone's dream to see that happen. His two ideas are the same two that everyone wants to see.

I realize that, but he also went on to say this:

"Anyway… while this is mostly my own vision of what Iron Colossus COULD be like, the very idea of combining the two tracks into one giant double-length ride did come to me from a trusted source a long time ago. Could plans have changed?  Sure… but I hope not because an Iron Colossus could be RMC’s most epic project of all time"

Actually, I think Colossus' bents (except in the pull-outs) are missing the common upright we usually see in twin/shared coaster structure:

If it's RMC'd, will they add middle uprights in those bents?

SFMM always counted Colossus as one coaster

^I always counted it as 2 But it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. It seems like most of the parks count their racing/dueling coasters as 1.

My theory was that if they had different layouts (not just a mirror or side-by-side the entire ride) or had one side forwards and the other backwards, then they should count as 2 different coasters. For me, Gwazi would count as 2, but Colossus would only be 1.

This is why I would love to see Iron Colossus, but with 2 different sides. Think about how much Magic Mountain would love to be able to market it as their 19th (again) and 20th coasters! That alone would explain their rush to stuff a kiddie coaster in this year.

New prediction: world largest climbing structure/rope course!

How about a fully green rollercoaster. The train full of people have to get out and manually push/pull the train up the lift hill. Save money and work off those theme park calories.

Sorry, the roller coaster pictured is 'Montana Rusa' which was built in the 1960's by NAD. Colossus was built by IAD (which previously purchased NAD) and it's often thought that Colossus's design was inspired by that of Montana Rusa.

On the plus side, at least we will have a Colossus-ish type coaster to continue riding, probably for years to come!

^At least the Revolution petition has some steam I'd think more people want a RMC Colossus over the current ride.

Depending on which park you're at, you burn those calories in the 4 mile hike to the coaster, and the 3 mile hike through the exit ramp back to the park.

^ lol. Well now that Collosus news has hit the national news circuit (saw it on the front page of yahoo) I see more GP-ish coaster lovers signing the petition. Little do they know the possibilities that await them

And that's just from today and with all the slow signature signings, it will make it to its 10,000 signature goal by 2017.

All nine of them!

I dunno I feel kinda sorry for them, maybe we need to preserve what used to be one of the fasted coasters of the world. (yes, that mistake was actually from the article)
